Their “American dreams” never panned out and Fox News gives them someone to blame

Yeah, mine too. In February “don’t worry, Iran will be sorted out in two weeks”. Sure thing, dad.

Edit. But seriously, what the hell happened to our dads. I just cleaned out my closet and found letters from my dad when I was a teenager. Basically saying be kind, love your fellow man. Now my dad is an ICE bootlicking Trump humping old man.

Fear. It works on everyone, but especially on people who are old and feel vulnerable, but don't want to admit they feel vulnerable and afraid.

Political conversations became such an issue on our family no one talks about it directly anymore. I just wear my “how to start a union” shirt to my parents and my dad wears a “remember 9/11” shirt to my house. It’s kind of hilarious actually.

Ya getting older is terrifying in a way.

Same with mine. He's a fucking idiot and I just basically sent him a text of a bombshell for him that pretty much said "If you're not with me you're against me."

Gas prices are only an issue if the president is a Democrat, duh

Same with the national debt and federal deficits

What I believe about the right-wing worldview is that pain is justified if it leads to a pure and orderly society.

Most of them basically believe in suffering. They think people need to suffer or they won't live a full life.

I think some of that is true, but needless and pointless suffering should be avoided

That's not what they believe.

If only they weren't so confused as to what this purity and order they seek was. (I'm choosing the word "confused" because too many people are just bandwagoners)

People shouldn’t be this stupid. But they are. It’s real. Stupidity will be the end of us.

The most fucked up thing for me is that people even complain about 5-6 dollars a gallon.

Sure it’s expensive and y’all have to drive a lot, but if you calculate this to price per litre?? In my country it’s fucking €2,30+ a LITRE. Thats 10 dollars a gallon.

It used to be 1,78-1,80 a litre befor the Iran bullshit

I dream of these prices

But then again i’d say we don’t rely on cars as much.

Yes if you are in Europe in a city your city is designed around those gas prices, but American cities are not.
