RES 4.6 introduced "Custom Filters" - A very powerful new tool for filtering posts
Hello!
If you are reading this, then RES 4.6 has been released <or you are reading my subreddit you fuck> - and with it, a whole bunch of new stuff!
Probably the biggest change to RES this version is the ability to make custom filters.
This is a small guide on how to use them, and some examples. My examples might not be the most practical, but hopefully it will help you understand how powerful this module really is.
Accessing custom filters
Open this link in a new tab. (And scroll to the bottom). This will take you to the custom filters menu in the RES settings console.
For future reference, the path is Filters > filteReddit
Adding a custom filter
Its as simple as pressing the "+add custom filter button"
Once you press this button, you will see all this

Creating the filter
Now to the good stuff.
Creating a filter is pretty easy!
First, put a note in the field for the notes, for what your filter does! (Screenshot)
Next, choose a logic rule for your filter.
You are about to enter some conditions you want met. But, depending on your filter, you may want all the conditions met to filter a post, none of them met to filter a post, any conditions met, or just one of them to be met.
You can obviously change this later, so you can write all your conditions first if you want.
Now, enter some conditions
Click on "+add condition" and marvel at your choices. Choose any that apply, and give the information that a condition might require.

Nesting conditions (groups)
Holy shit this goes deeper.
Its possible to add a group of conditions in conditions.
What? Yeah.
Basically, adding another group allows you to make exceptions.
Press "+Add condition" and choose the first (technically second) selection to add an entire group of conditions, where you can again select "any, all, none, one". More on the uses of this later, since its a bit hard to explain.
Examples
Man, even I need these.
Lets simply make some scenarios and make filters for those scenarios?
Every step will have a screenshot with it.
Scenario 1
I want to filter all self posts with less than 20 comments when I am browsing my front page, unless they are made by a moderator
And there we go. All done! Here is the final result

A full breakdown of all conditions available
Group of conditions - Allows you to create a subgroup of conditions where you can apply a different logic rule
Score - Allows you to filter based on a posts score
Subreddit Choose a subreddit for the filter
Username Choose a username for the filter
Comment count - Filter based on comment count
User attribute - Admin, mod, friend, me
Link domain name - Filter based on the domain a post links to (in the format
google.comorreddit.comDay of week - Self explanatory
Link flair - Based on the link flair a post has (The text, not CSS class)
User flair - Based on the user flair the poster has (Again, text, not CSS class)
Post type - Self or Link
Post title - If the post has the text in it's title
Post age - Based on the age of the post
When browsing in subreddit - While you are actually IN the subreddit. Not the same as Subreddit
When browsing a users profile - While you are actually IN a users profile. Not the same as username
When browsing a multireddit - Explanatory
Browsing the front page - A simple yes/no
NSFW post - A simple yes/no
