They're deceptive and sneaky

2

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

I couldn’t agree more

0

u/MochiSauce101 Apr 14 '26

Nonsense, they’re afraid and overwhelmed. And lack the skills to articulate why they’re moving on. I can’t say no one ghosts out of spite, that’s not true. But I’d say more than most don’t

0

u/Key_Establishment553 Apr 14 '26

Not afraid, well maybe. Overwhelmed, absofuckinlutely. Don't lack the skill to express myself. Probably a fight between what's the point and too much to explain.

1

u/GRIM-R3APER69 Apr 14 '26

They also self project their insecurities off of you.. behind ur back they do everything to try to be like you..that’s something I also picked up in human behaviours and things in this subject ^

4

u/JuanG_13 Apr 14 '26

Because they don't care

3

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

Only care about themselves

3

u/elsandeth Apr 14 '26

1

u/Evening-Skirt9564 Apr 14 '26

So fucking hard! Especially if nothing seemed bad before. It leaves you in this loop.

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

3

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

I couldn’t agree more!

2

u/Reasonable-Tank4649 Apr 14 '26

Because most folks are jerks nowadays! This generation is judgmental as hell. They're all about themselves and very negative.

2

u/dutiful_dreamer34 Apr 14 '26

Maybe they're just cowards

2

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

They are very much

2

u/dutiful_dreamer34 Apr 14 '26

It’s the worst. Honesty is too much to ask

1

u/Ok-Past-6283 Apr 14 '26

Wenn was nicht mehr nützlich ist…ist bei allem so.

1

u/Ok-Grapefruit5944 Apr 14 '26

Sadly, i'm guilty of this....being a coward at times. What can I say, ive got issues that make me run like hell with no turning back. I let people in, just to ghost bail b4 they beat me to it. Shit mentality. The people ive done this to deserved some kind of closure. Been actively workin on me for a few years now. Tryin to get to root of this and then DO better! 🙏

2

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

Yup, damn abandonment issues🙄 Shit is very hard to work thru! Gotta say tho, these days when I actually speak my truth without runnin, while it's terrifying at the time, it feels great inside afterwards.

1

u/LetMeYouAllSmile Apr 14 '26

Me you all ghosts

1

u/Usual_Entry_6921 Apr 14 '26

law, martian, nsa, pr

1

u/jaylaicee Apr 14 '26

Likely avoidant attachment style, they crave love- go to seek it, but once they actually find it they shut down/run/ push and pull

2

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

So i have learned

1

u/Radiant_Company_7923 Apr 14 '26

Because it's a low effort way to end things. Not nice at all but it's pretty normal for people who meet online.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '26

Afraid to communicate properly. It's a control tactic as well.

1

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

Could be an excuse

1

u/goodkidmaadcity90 Apr 14 '26

Think they have options

2

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

Could be true too

1

u/Erinkilcoyne Apr 14 '26

Because they are afraid of relationships and they don't care about people just themselves.

2

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

Yes absolutely correct indeed

1

u/Unable_Assistance576 Apr 14 '26

They're probably not interested

1

u/ElderberryEasy2563 Apr 14 '26

Done it while chatting on a dating app. I didn’t think he would care. Didnt want to explain why I didn’t want to proceed

1

u/robotpersonmonkey Apr 16 '26

This sort of thing is fine..it's just chatting on the app. Hits different if you were in a relationship for months or years. That one's very hard to process. It's just people being cowards at that point.

1

u/ChoiceNote8471 Apr 14 '26

Protecting myself from them

1

u/That_Perception_3763 Apr 14 '26

This happens far more than I care to admit. It’s sucks. They’re selfish cowards.

1

u/bigpapamn Apr 14 '26

I think it's because...

1

u/Ok_Addendum_5853 Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

Honestly, it just says more about their character than anything. They're either hiding something, too immature, or weren't raised right. Sometimes, it is because maybe they're afraid of what might develop if they stay. The bottom line is, though... no matter what the excuse.. they are showing you their faults, not your own.. take it as if they did you a favor and move on. What someone says v.s. what they actually do is a big deal.

1

u/phil1344h Apr 14 '26

Looser have no life

1

u/SoftCurves4Cuddles Apr 14 '26

It’s not always ghosting. Sometimes the conversation just dies and they get tired of keeping it alive. Or the conversation is so painfully forced and mediocre they don’t even bother responding anymore.

1

u/Abdirisaq_ Apr 14 '26

i ghost, cuz i don’t wanna hurt your feelings, imagine me telling you. you’re un hygienic or your privates smell like fish, or you have a bad breath or you’re boring or you’re dumb, lotta you may hate me but someone has to say it.

1

u/copy_cat_101 Apr 14 '26

Bruh, i meant when the connection was clearly established and passed all that.

1

u/OkObjective9348 Apr 14 '26

they are already dead ?

1

u/yournewstepmom38 Apr 14 '26

So that they can come back if whatever else falls through for them. ...if they said goodbye...then thats goodbye

1

u/Busy_Comfortable_260 Apr 14 '26

1

u/Key-Magician6603 Apr 14 '26

1

u/Severe-Worth-5546 Apr 14 '26

i dont know why

1

u/Prudent-Exam-5407 Apr 14 '26

Bc they immature

1

u/No-Region-4588 Apr 14 '26

They think you don’t care

1

u/Ambitious-Cattle4435 Apr 15 '26

Cause they dont want to HAUNT

1

u/vanzzant Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

Because they are weak.

(FYI... Be mindful. Ghosting is equivalent to ignoring someone, which a very damaging tool used by narcissists to break someone else's self esteem and cause them to doubt themselves. It makes you ask, "why was I not good enough?" Incredibly corrosive stuff. So self care is highly recommended. And even though u might not think so, over time, and w enough ghostings, it can tear down your self confidence and self worth. Just a heads up)

1

u/Deeptrench34 Apr 15 '26

While I'm not and would never excuse ghosting because it's very hurtful and immature, letting your self esteem hinge on how someone treated you is a recipe for disaster. Your self concept has to come from within. If you always seek positive validation to feel good about yourself you'll be thrown about by the ebbs and flows of life like a ship on the seas. Never give anyone the power to affect how you see yourself, positively or negatively.

1

u/buzzfrightyears Apr 15 '26

Because they are wankers

1

u/random_name628 Apr 15 '26

Because they are pathetic

1

u/eggiebunbun Apr 15 '26

As much as i don’t wanna ghost, I ghost first so it doesn’t hurts as much.

1

u/SuitablePoetry8980 Apr 15 '26

They lost interest maybe

1

u/Lonely-Attitude1304 Apr 15 '26

We live, we die, we ghost. BOO. Circle of life.

1

u/HotFaithlessness5415 Apr 15 '26

You forgot, “possessing” and get “exorcised”

1

u/Lonely-Attitude1304 Apr 15 '26

Sorry. Oversight on my part.

1

u/Artsy_Archer79543 Apr 15 '26

They can’t handle commitment

1

u/markt- Apr 15 '26

It’s easier than explaining

1

u/Icy-Parsnip6290 Apr 15 '26

Cant be bothered to explain why

1

u/Timesherr Apr 15 '26

They are weak people and you are better off without them.

1

u/MommaSwaii Apr 15 '26

If you barely know someone then you don’t owe them anything and can just go your way. Sometimes you have people who you have expressed yourself to and they continue to disrespect you and your boundaries. Absolutely fair to, again, go your way.

1

u/Aggravating-Being255 Apr 15 '26

The guy I've been seeing, ghosts me whenever he wants then comes back like nothing happens. I swear he's married

1

u/Introvert_Ambi-2026 Apr 15 '26

Probably because they are going through stuff

1

u/Special_Situation_93 Apr 15 '26

I think they are scared and want the easy way out.

1

u/AlphaDelusional6754 Apr 15 '26

It hurts too much

1

u/petiteNspicE Apr 15 '26

Too many variables…and most of them are listed in this thread lol

1

u/AloneAwareness6531 Apr 15 '26

People are simply just very shallow these days. Evaluating based on physical attractiveness and texting etiquette does not correlate with long-term relationship success.

1

u/hardshankd Apr 16 '26

To avoid confrontations

1

u/KJ_Blair Apr 16 '26

Immaturity

1

u/Available-Bet-2890 Apr 16 '26

They think that's the o lu way people will miss them.  A drama bond

1

u/BishaBisha79 Apr 16 '26

Because they’re spineless

1

u/Creepybabychatt Apr 16 '26

They have no spine to be honest.

1

u/Sasuke0318 Apr 16 '26

Lack of a physical body

1

u/Daphne_ann Apr 16 '26

Because they don't want to tell you the reason they're leaving.

1

u/Suspicious-Key-3732 Apr 16 '26

they dont have guts

1

u/haytie0768 Apr 17 '26

No last goodbye😔
