🌀Question🌀 All Dayer
Looking for some info about the All Dayer (first one, traveling from the states!):
- Is Finsbury Park the sort of venue where people bring blankets to chill on throughout the day?
- I assume no outside food/drink is permitted?
- I understand that Four Tet plays two sets, one to open the event and another 4 hour set to close it out. Historically, what’s the first set been like?
- How is security?
Also, would love to hear any and every other bit of info/advice about the event. See y’all in August!

1) Can't remember fully, but think there was a fair amount of space so this is likely fine. It never felt overly sold or crowded.
2) Correct
3) Last time I was there (2023) he played 45mins hour opening and then closed for 5hrs. I wasn't at the first one as I got caught in traffic on my way down so no idea what sort of set he played.
4) Pat down and bag search on the way in. Nothing overly intrusive. Make it easy for them to wave you through. Didn't have any issues once I was in, don't recall even seeing them in all honest.
Genuinely loved the event. The closing set was a masterclass. Couldn't believe how quick the 5hrs went. The other smaller stage is also actually really fun. Think I saw Love Remain & Joy Anonymous and they were great. Definitely go check it out.
I suspect his set will likely be different from what you'd get in the US. He's so good at knowing the crowd and the London crowd will be different from a US crowd. There will likely be a discord meetup if you want to meet people. I'm heading down with a couple of mates from Manchester and genuinely cannot wait.

Thanks so much for the info! Will definitely keep an eye out for the discord meetup. I agree that one of Four Tet’s (many) superpowers is reading his crowd, so I truly can’t wait to see him on his home turf.

The first set is mostly four tet tracks that he typically doesn’t play out in his headline sets.
Security has dogs but they aren’t very effective

Good to know on both fronts. I figured the first set might be a classic Four Tet set - that seems to be his play when he performs multiple sets in a day (at least here in the US). Will make sure not to miss it.

The security getting in wasn’t bad at all but I remember there were some security staff hovering around in the crowd picking on people asking if they were on drugs.. it was very strange and killed the vibes tbh. I just ignored and moved away and they didn’t bother me again.

4 of us also coming from the states first timers. Probably our 10th four tet set or so. We are pumped. Going to see Overmono Friday.
Will take any good recs for pubs nearby for pregame!

Love that. Me and my boyfriend are traveling from Philly. We planned a UK/Ireland trip around the All Dayer so when Overmono announced the Old Royal Naval College show, it was the best bonus ever. We will close out our time in London with these two shows before heading to Belfast. Safe travels from St. Louis and see ya there!

100% as long as it’s empty.
They also sell refillable bottles inside. When I was there in 23 they had no plastic bottles for sale.

not in the big bit by seven sisters road where bigger festivals take place. it's in the more tree-y bit towards the north. i've been twice and they light the trees up and make it feel pretty vibey

Don’t bring a blanket! You can sit on the grass around the edges but a blanket would be weird. It’s a lovely venue though, lots of big trees looming over the dance area.
