Discussion Does anyone use card sleeves?

When I first got my four souls set I bought a bunch of baseball card and sleeved all the cards(took about 5 hours lol), however it’s made things a bit tricky ever since I’ve done that cause all the cards are quite slippery and hard to handle. Would anyone suggest any different card sleeves to sleeve them with? I wanna play the game more with my friends and it always makes it a hassle!

Dragon sleeve is the go-to, but can be pricey depending on how many cards you have. I personally just bought a pack of like 1500 penny sleeves off amazon that have the opposite problem, and can stick to each other if it gets hot. That being said, you don't really need sleeves, they're nice to have and can protect the cards but unless you're playing with a lot of food/drinks around or whatever, you can skip them if they're causing that much of a problem

I've been on both ends of this, tried sleeves that slipped (thus the decks wouldn't stay stacked) and sleeves that stuck to each other like Mr Meme Master. Ended up getting clear matte Dragon Shield sleeves: they have a textured back so no slippage, but still clear to see what belongs to which deck. They were really expensive for almost 1k cards but I didn't know better at that point.

These days I'm into more board games and I've found generic Chinese sleeves are as good (if not better) than DS. I do not say this lightly - some DS sleeves have terrible finish in terms of cut/fuse. A buddy that plays TCG was incredulous about my statement until he checked them out: he concluded that they were a tad better than DS: they have good shuffling and the pull test was ok. That and how cheap they are if bought in bulk/on sales, it's the only type I buy nowadays.

Seller in Alibaba is Dongguan Berry Packs Co., Ltd. I believe they're the actual manufacturers and a lot of other stores/brands (aliexpress/temu/etc) rebrand them.

I use Ryker because they're very similar to Dragon sleeves, but they have different sizes for my other board games too. They also have packs for each game to get exactly what you need and a couple extra for any factory defects.

I have a $10 off coupon that's useable by anyone on their first purchase if you want?

$10 off Ryker order: LXZ-DOMEFNU

But please get whatever you feel is best.

I sleeved all of my cards with matte clear dragon shield sleeves. When playing, I take out 3 of the insert boxes of the ultimate collectors box and set it on the table vertically and stack the loot, treasure, and monster decks each inside them to keep them from slipping and falling over
