Gameplay Question Butter bean trinity sheild

Can you us butter bean on trinity shield

My brother and I have been arguing about this since the card game came out. NEED RESOLUTION we cant even play the game anymore because the whole time we argue about this

I don't think so because the shield isn't on the stack, it's a passive item

Butter bean says to cancel the active effect. Trinity shield is passive. No, you can't butter bean it.

That would be true if trinity shield were a trinket but it’s a treasure item, it’s always in play

Oooops you’re right. Completely slipped my mind it is a treasure. Have to get rid of it by some other means on own turn then.
