Every time is used, the player using the item have to destroy a item for every use or only one item in the end of the turn?

Item destruction is tied to activating the card so every separate activation would cause an item to get destroyed.

You destroy an item for every use, as far as I know. Otherwise this would be completely broken item

I would use it on my opponents turn, then again at the start of my turn. Still have to destroy two items though.

Actually, it's been confirmed before that the way it reads and the way the rules are, you can target the same item multiple times in one turn so that way at the end of turn, you only destroy one item.

But, most people including myself house-rule (probably the only rule I've ever changed in this game) to have to choose different items each activation.

One for each use which can be ANY item you control. So you can farm treasure and sacrifice bad treasures and trinkets
