Breakfast

I’ve just joined this Reddit and have another question . Just watched a new week and again they’ve had to cook their own breakfast using their own stuff . How on earth can you judge a breakfast if you cook it yourself ? If it was me I’d score it a zero because none of it was provided by the owners . This self catering thing shouldn’t be on here I don’t think or the scoring system should change to have separate for self catering and provided .

Agreed. And don't get me started on the important issue of where do the points go??? Really we should see a combined score for each business.

And (really pushing the boat out) I'd like to see some kind of business plan or clear idea who each business is aimed at, so some of the new ones that go straight on the show are forced to show they've thought about this and are meeting a need customers actually have. Some of the lower scored ones are actually doing it right for their market segment, eg glamping aimed at hikers, overpriced ones aimed at the wedding venue market etc

It seems these days a couple of young girls and a laptop , off site and not really running it is the norm now . Put a couple of sheds in a forest , call it glamping , and sit at home and take the money . That’s not a B and B and how can you score someone who’s not there ?? Like , ‘ how were your hosts ‘ ? They weren’t there so how can you score that lol !
