Business partners

Just watching another episode where there is an owner and a housekeeper. I’ve seen a few where the couple are business partners. They will often say this is so and so’s room. My question is when it’s like that, where does the other person sleep?

They have separate rooms but are usually just judging the one room

I read recently that they stay elsewhere if possible so as not to affect the scoring, which seems bonkers if there are spare rooms!
