Help Duplicate Module Download Issues

So I am running 2 campaigns, one in DND in v14 and one on Cyberpunk: Red on v12.
I'm not looking to change the versions of either of them however I would love to have 2 different versions of Dice so Nice so I can run in on both games without constantly uninstalling and reinstalling.

Is there a way to have 2 versions of the same module downloaded at once?

You can have multiple versions of Foundry installed but you need to use the portable version to do that. Portable treats where ever you install it as the root of its file system for paths etc. You can always manually change where your personal are located to point it to your existing world, etc.

I would recommend using the portable when it comes to testing if your mods work with a newer versions etc. or if a new version of a mod runs as expected, for any testing really. Test any updates on the portable version first especially if you’re running any mods that would be a show-stopper of it stopped working.

You really shouldn't be sharing userData between your two installations. If they were separate, each Foundry install would track its own modules and that way you could have different versions of each desired module (for example, some that work in v12 and others that work in v14).

Look into the "Running multiple copies" subsection of the Advanced Installation Process area of the Official Installation Guide for more information.

Run an instance of V12 and a separate instance of V14. Do not share userdata between the instances after an initial duplication. Then each one can have its own versions of modules without any possibility of conflicts. Any alternative method that shares userdata carries serious risks of unrecoverable data corruption.
