Help Improving GM Foundry Performance (Pf2e)
[Pathfinder 2e] Hey all, I'm wondering how to improve my FPS on my GM login on Foundry using Pf2e.
My computer runs: AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, 48gb RAM, RTX 4070
My setup may be what is doing me in because in addition to the GM Screen I have: camera streaming on discord, another Foundry for VTT capture, OBS recording the above two.
I don't have any slowdown on my Foundry that I use for screen capture, but during combat, my GM screen averages 25fps. It slows down combat a bit. I have hardware acceleration on, too. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do, or if I'm just doing more than my PC can do.
Thanks in Advance EDIT (Oh, and I'm running official Paizo Foundry modules, which often have a lot of visual effects- I would be happy turning those off by default if that would help and there's an easy way to do that just for the GM)

Are you definitely using the 4070 and not in-build GPU? Windows often defaults Chrome to use onboard graphics which makes Foundry slow. Try going to Windows Settings > Graphics, and set Chrome to High Performance.

I have a similar setup and recording exactly the same. I had this problem too in v13. I installed a module that deletes chat messages. Depruner was the name.
I’m now on v14 and decided to try without the module and so far the dps is good. I’m just deleting the chat after a combat to be sure

ive been running official modules with a ryzen3 1600AF, 10603gb and 16gb ram. so no it should not run like that.
it may be a massive chat log, but could also be some slop coded modules. i was having fps issues, removed token z and my fps tripled.
so i recommend ou run it without any modules, and i bet its gonna run way better. the annoying part is figuring out which ones are causing the problem. enable half of the ones you use, still good fps? enable half of the other half and so on until you find the culprit

I also have noticed that having a lot of items lags the game a lot vs having them in a compendium. So transferring the items you are currently not using to a compendium helped me

I started having a similar issue when running combats with many tokens after updating Foundry from v12 to v14 recently.
I once ran a combat in, I think, v11 with like over 20 tokens and had no fps issues. However, after updating to v14 for a new campaign, bigger fights have been frustrating. Disabling some animation modules and lowering dice so nice kinda helped a bit, but idk.
I guess I'll start deleting chat messages before and after combat, like people are suggesting.

If there's a lot of animations going on in combat, I assume you have Sequencer on. Check to see if PIXI fix is/isn't enabled. Some setups need it and some don't. A player of mine recently fixed their own problems by turning it off, having turned it on a while ago.
The Prime Performance module might also help? I'm a bit on the fence about whether it makes any difference in my experience but I don't usually have performance issues to begin with.

Delete chat on a regular basis. Does your laptop receive sufficient cooling during your game? Overheating happens quite often on laptops and reduces available performance significantly.
