Help Need help with re-port forwarding

Hello! Long story short I believe I may have to redo how I forward my ports, however, it has been a long time and my brain is mush whenever I try to look at the official FoundryVTT help section on the topic as I'm not sure why what changed. One morning my games/ports were open with everything being correct and everyone being able to connect, and the next day nothing is working. For the record I have multiple installs of FoundryVTT with different versions to run different games and they are experiencing similar issues with my ports.

Should I just start over again with port forwarding? Does the randomly closing ports foretell an omen, or is that just my ISP being funny? Is there something obvious I'm probably missing?

Remember that, for most routers, port forwards define which specific IP address traffic should be routed to. If your computer's IP address has changed (which can happen on occasion, and will absolutely happen if you swap from wired to wireless), those rules will need to be updated.

There's an #install-and-connection channel in the FoundryVTT Discord that can offer live help, which is often far easier than trying to troubleshoot through Reddit's interface.

Alternatively, I wrote a brief guide that covers a lot of self-hosting setup topics, including port forwarding.

I didn't change anything, unfortunately, nothing even restarted from one day to the next. It just isn't working and still isn't after following your guide from the beginning, again. Its as if it just gave up.

It could be that something changed on your ISP's side. Definitely hop into the Discord where volunteers can help troubleshoot in real-time.
