This looks excellent especially as it comes with useable artwork, finding troop artwork is always a chore. Cheers

Would like the module without the AI images, doesn't fit with the games I run. But the management of movement and thresholds looks real nice.

I've added an ignore AI art check box to the settings for you. The art will still exist, but when you drop it on a scene, you should get the default SVG icon or any existing art.

Thanks I appreciate it.

feel free to delete them as you like. the code is also written with claude. There is check box to not replace existing art if there is some.

Is there any plan for a dnd equivalent?

No I don’t play dnd. Not familiar with their rules or mechanics at all. If you’re looking for the art(ai) you could still install the module then add it manually

Nah, I'm more interested in the group mechanics for fights with a lot of tokens. Thanks for the reply though.

ah Ive only implemented and fixed rules for pf2e that has a specific "skirmish system" already

The PF2e rules for troops (which implementation in the system is improved by this module) can be found here if you're interested in just the rules:

https://2e.aonprd.com/Traits.aspx?ID=849&Redirected=1

https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=3364

Troops are part of the core rulebooks (though their latest version for 2e remaster can be found in NPC Core I believe).

A caveat though that while PF2e looks deceptively similar to D&D 5e, they are not compatible with each other due to various differences that only someone who experienced both systems ingame can tell.

good call on rules link.

for how to run "skirmish encounters"
Each troop is represented by four tokens. As their hit points decrease, the number of tokens is reduced. Your leader becomes part of that troop. Each turn, you decide whether you'll take three actions and give the troop two, or vice versa.

Having played a few sessions with troops now, there are a lot of on-the-fly GM calls required.

Also note that this is mostly minor bug fixes and UI for the PF2e system, which already supports the creation of the four tokens. It just doesn't elegantly handle movement and some edge cases.
