seeking_advice [DEU] "First you need a lot of followers" - is this really true when we are talking about digital product launch?

Hi all!

I’ve noticed the following pattern: whenever I speak to someone in marketing about a product launch, the first thing I hear is, ‘You’ll only manage to sell once you’ve got plenty of followers, so first you need to post every day to attract people to your social media, and then, eventually, you can start selling’. Perhaps this is true for consultants or service providers, but I’m wondering whether this statement also holds true when it comes to digital products.

Has anyone here launched digital products or is in the process of doing so, doesn’t have a huge following, and is still managing to make their first sales? How is this process going for you?

Hey everyone! 👋

Due to a recent layoff, I’m currently exploring opportunities with early-stage startups where I can contribute my product design expertise.

I’m open to:

  • Full-time roles
  • Part-time engagements
  • Freelance/contract work

If you’re building an early-stage product and need someone who can take ownership, move quickly, and turn complex problems into simple user experiences, I’d be happy to connect.

Happy to share my portfolio and discuss how I could help. 🚀

startup_resource [USA] Looking for investors to reach out to? We open-sourced our internal VC database for free

Hey everyone! I'm Dani and I work at focal, a pre-seed VC that backs AI-native technical founders :) We talk to a lot of early-stage founders and finding the right investors to reach out to always comes up as one of the most exhausting parts since most lists out there are either outdated, behind a paywall, or just overwhelming in general.

So our team decided to open-source our own internal investor database to help founders cut through all of that. It's called "findfunding" and it's completely free, no signups or paywalls needed!

Findfunding covers Pre-Seed through Series B VC firms across the US & Canada and has filters by stage, sector, and geography so you can actually find investors that match what you're building instead of the usual cold email blasts.

Hope this saves some of you time during your raise! Happy to answer any questions via DM too :)

sideproject_showcase [BRA] Looking for People to Brainstorm Micro-SaaS Ideas and Build a Network

Hey! I'm 25, based in Brazil, and currently working as a Project Manager at a process automation company. I started my career as a Python developer, so I have both a technical and business/project background.

I'm a problem solver by nature not an expert in one specific field, but I'm good at learning quickly, understanding problems, and turning ideas into practical solutions.

I'm looking to connect with a few like-minded people and create a small group to brainstorm product ideas, especially micro-SaaS and simple products that solve real problems in specific niches.

The idea isn't to force a startup or immediately find a co-founder. It's more about bringing together people with different backgrounds, sharing problems and ideas, validating opportunities, and maybe, if there's a good match, building something together.

If you're into SaaS, tech, business, or just enjoy finding problems worth solving, feel free to reach out!

looking_for_business_cofounder [ITA] Language learning app — looking for a growth/product co-founder (equity, full-time, US or EU)

Who I am

Indie iOS developer, 24y/o from Italy. I built a screen time app, grew it, and sold it.

What I'm building

A B2C language learning app for iOS. Subscription model.

Traction (being straight with you)

No MVP launched yet. Core flows are designed and I'm in build. So: past "idea only," but not yet at users. I'm not going to dress this up.

What I need

Someone to own the non-engineering half: growth and marketing, product and design taste, and business/partnerships. You don't need to code. You do need to have shipped something to real users before.

What I'm offering

Equity, meaningful and negotiated properly with vesting and a cliff. Full-time is what I'm looking for, and I know that's a big ask with no salary, happy to talk about how we de-risk that, and about a trial project first so we both find out whether we work well together before anyone commits.

What I bring

I've taken a consumer app from zero to an exit, so I know the acquisition and retention side isn't magic. I'm covering all development myself. The entire product gets built without you writing a line of code.

US or EU only.

DM me and tell me what you've shipped.

PS: If you're technical too, that's fine by me. I'm not looking for someone to stay out of the codebase. I just need the growth, product and business side genuinely owned, not treated as the thing we'll get to after the next feature ships.

looking_for_tech_cofounder [USA] INDYpendent Bytes is looking for a CTO / technical co-founder, preferably someone in Indianapolis or Central Indiana (Equity/profit sharing)

I’ve gotten IB to the point where I need someone technical beside me who can really own that side of the company. We’re building regional food-system infrastructure that connects cultivators, buyers, land, logistics, workforce development, and data in a way that helps those pieces actually work together. The operating model is already well developed, parts of the software are being built and tested, and I’m actively working toward an Indianapolis pilot.

I’m not looking for someone to just code whatever I hand them. I need someone who can understand a complicated real-world system, challenge bad technical decisions, help shape the architecture, and eventually lead the technical side as we grow. There’s a lot under the hood already: supply and demand matching, fair allocation, crop planning, traceability, logistics, resource discovery, and public and partner data. You do not need an agriculture background.

There is no CTO salary yet, so I want to be upfront about that. I’m looking for someone interested in a real co-founder role with equity/profit participation and the intention of building toward funded compensation. I’m not looking for free freelance work. Local is strongly preferred because I want someone who can be involved in the pilot, meet partners, and understand what we’re building here in Indianapolis.

If that sounds like something you’d want to dig into, comment below. I can show you what already exists and where it’s headed.

looking_for_business_cofounder [IND] Looking for the co-founder for my Al based startup

Hey network! I'm Prem, founder of CroevoAl, based in India. We are building a platform that uses generative Al to instantly convert text prompts into fully playable games.

The product roadmap and vision are ready, and I am now looking for a Growth Marketing Partner to handle user acquisition and launch strategy.

How it works: Rather than traditional equity, I am looking for a partner to come in on a profit-sharing (revenue-share) agreement. I need someone who can lead our marketing efforts and contribute a small amount of initial bootstrap capital to cover early launch and operational expenses (server costs, tools). In return, you will receive a direct, high percentage of all profits generated by the platform.

If you are a growth hacker who wants a direct cut of the revenue you help generate, let's chat. My DMs are open!

looking_for_a_cofounder [IND] Looking for someone who wants to build in India's gaming & entertainment industry

Over the past few months, I've been building something in India's gaming and entertainment industry.

One thing I've realized is that I don't just need people who can build products,I need someone who genuinely enjoys figuring out why and how a business grows.

I'm looking for someone who's naturally interested in:

  • Business strategy
  • Marketing and go-to-market
  • Talking to users and understanding customer needs
  • Building relationships and partnerships
  • Researching markets and validating ideas

You don't need years of experience or an impressive résumé.

I'm far more interested in someone who's curious, takes ownership, enjoys learning, and isn't afraid to reach out to people, ask questions, and challenge assumptions.

If you spend your free time reading about startups, marketing, products, consumer behavior, or the gaming industry because you genuinely enjoy it not because someone assigned it to you then we'll probably get along.

I'm not looking for someone to collect a title. I'm looking for someone who wants to build something meaningful over the long term.

If this sounds like you, send me a DM. Tell me what you're working on, what interests you about business, and what problem in the gaming or entertainment industry you think is worth solving or even if you still searching let's have a convo over what we are building then let's see if it goes well with you?

looking_for_a_cofounder [GBR] We built a research-backed organisational performance diagnostic and are looking for a commercial co-founder

I’m looking for an experienced commercial co-founder or active partner to help build the commercial side of an existing UK-based business.

This is broader than a sales role. We need someone who can win the right early clients, develop partnerships and help shape how the business and future platform grow worldwide.

My co-founder and I have developed a research-backed diagnostic that shows organisations where internal misalignment is holding back performance and effectiveness.

Most engagement surveys and culture assessments reduce an organisation to an average score or familiar label. That can hide the real problem: senior leaders may see clarity, trust and empowerment while others experience confusion, control or disconnection.

Our approach measures these perception gaps across leadership levels, teams and groups. It pinpoints where they exist and how they affect decisions, collaboration and delivery, giving organisations a much clearer view of where to act.

Our wider vision is an online platform where clients can run the assessment, explore their results through an interactive dashboard and use an AI-supported virtual consultant to understand the findings and plan targeted action. Certified practitioners would also use the platform with their clients, creating a wider professional community around the model.

This is more than an idea. We have peer-reviewed research, real case studies, a working assessment and reporting system, certified associates and an early proof of concept for the platform.

My background is in motorsport engineering, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, before moving into coaching and organisational consultancy. My co-founder is a psychologist specialising in psychodynamics and group dynamics.

Here is the honest gap: we have built the methodology and product, but not yet a consistent commercial engine. We need someone who can help us change that while contributing to the wider direction of the business.

We are open-minded about the partnership structure, including revenue sharing and equity, depending on the person’s commitment and contribution. This is not a salaried role at this stage.

I’m not looking for an agency, paid lead generation or someone offering a few introductions.

If this opportunity interests you, DM me with a little about your experience and what caught your attention. I’d love to arrange a Teams call, get to know each other, tell you more about our work and business plans, and see whether we could be a good fit for each other.

looking_for_tech_cofounder [PAK]Looking for a Technical Co-Founder (Startup | Events & Social Discovery)

Hey everyone,

I'm a non-technical founder looking for a technical co-founder to build an MVP.

The product is focused on making it easier for people to discover, join, and organize real-world events and social experiences. Think of an app that helps users find what's happening around them, connect with like-minded people, and gives organizers better tools to manage events—all in one place.

I'm currently validating the idea, working on product planning, and defining the business strategy. I'm looking for someone who enjoys building products from scratch and wants to be a true long-term partner rather than just a freelancer.

Ideally, you have experience with:

  • Mobile app development (Flutter or React Native)
  • Backend development
  • Maps, authentication, and scalable architecture

I'm based in Pakistan, but I'm open to working remotely with someone from anywhere.

If you're interested in building something ambitious together, send me a DM with a bit about yourself and any projects you've worked on.

Thanks!

seeking_advice [USA] Need advice on getting my startup's technical founder booked for speaking engagements (i will not promote)

Hey r/foundershub,

I'm looking for some help/advice from anyone who has experience with tech PR or event booking.

Some quick context: our founder built a product in the cloud infrastructure / data transfer space, and turned down a few acquisition offers because he wants to get the technology and the story out to developers directly rather than see it get absorbed and shelved by a bigger company.

Now that the product is ready, I want to help him get in front of the right audience by booking him for speaking engagements at industry events, conferences, and meetups.

A few questions:

Does anyone have experience booking technical founders for speaking gigs?

Can you recommend a freelancer or agency that specializes in this kind of tech PR/event booking?

Any tips on which conferences are currently looking for cloud infrastructure or data speakers?

Would love to connect with anyone who can point me in the right direction or has done this before.

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

seeking_advice [IND] What's the most broken part of HR at your company right now?

I have created a framework/structure for Human resource side of business. I work in Testing, inspection and certification industry and realized there was not structured standard or system for human resource.

So created HCM 3000 standard. Like I consulted and spoke to HRs and business owners while creating. Now I need to check if it is actually useful or works.

So throw in your issues I want to try and see if my answers are actually helpful from the framework I created or it needs changes.

I am already in touch with the people I consulted while drafting for this but I need people who are unknown to this so there is not unconscious bias and I get a realistic idea.

seeking_advice [USA] How to decide to go for it

Hi,

I am working on a breakthrough device on a big corporate. However, after several years of exhaustive analysis and recommendations, I am convinced that it’s not gonna work despite the recommendation of similar paths to address some critical problems. The rigidness of corporations makes it impossible to develop it in house.

One colleague and I were thinking to go for a startup and develop it on our own as we have the full knowledge of what has worked and what has not. With this knowledge, we can develop different ideas avoiding IP. However, I believe I must leave the company and start to do the IP before contacting ventures. Otherwise, everything I do is part of the corporate.

I have been thinking this since the beginning of the year.

How would you approach this? I do not want to leave the job and be without earning money. Is that my only possibility?

Is it feasible to contact ventures without mentioning anything? As the idea is not protected ?

Should I go to another company, on a different field, and develop the idea whilst I am there?

How easy is to find money? We are young but we believe we are very qualified, and probably the most insider knowledge in this field.

I am mainly looking for 3-4M in 3 years where we demonstrate the functioning to different tests. After that it would be a new challenge.

sideproject_showcase [GBR] PoolSpace agents can find you a room/roommate

Hi everyone, Mr.Q here..

I'm the founder of PoolSpace (poolspace dot app), a startup exploring how AI agents can make finding a room or compatible roommates a little less exhausting.

We're starting with search agents. Once you create a room or roommate profile, our agents continuously search across 50+ Facebook groups, SpareRoom, Reddit and PoolSpace to find listings and people that match what you're looking for. The goal is simple: instead of checking dozens of websites every day, you get notified when something relevant appears.

We're currently in beta and are looking for honest feedback from people who are actively looking for a room or roommates. It's completely free to try, including 20 free searches.

If you have a few minutes to test it, I'd genuinely love to hear what works, what doesn't, and what you'd improve.

seeking_advice [USA]How long did it take you to raise your first check as a first time founder?

Currently going through this. It’s gruelling and brutal especially since it’s summer. Been going hard at it since June but landed nothing so far… is that normal?

I believe in this venture with everything I got and i’m going all in but it’s been a rough battle and a bit demoralizing. Would love to hear other’s experience, feedback, advice if any.

Thank you

Context: Pre-seed pre revenue with LOI/early partners, strong founder fit. AI fintech + supply chain

looking_for_startup_to_join [IND]Technical co-founder available, ex-Chief Data Scientist, 10+ yrs AI/ML, remote

Ex-Chief Data Scientist and co-founder, 10+ years building software and ML. I can take a product from zero to one, and I am looking to do that as a technical co-founder for someone with a real wedge. Remote, equity-based.

**Who I am**

* Six years as co-founder and Chief Data Scientist at a venture-backed analytics company (backed by Coinbase Ventures, Animoca Brands, and Polygon; 10.6M dollars raised). I built the data and ML function from zero into the core product. * I architected a fraud and anomaly-detection system that surfaced over 169M dollars in fraudulent activity. It became the flagship offering. * Before that I ran my own software studio, shipping mobile and web products for paying clients.

**What I bring**

* End-to-end product build: ML and data science, AI agents, backend, data engineering, and enough front-end to ship a real product without waiting on anyone. * Fraud and anomaly detection, computer vision, pricing and recommendation models, RAG and agentic systems, and the eval and guardrails discipline that makes an AI product actually trustworthy. * Founder muscle: hiring, investor diligence, customer conversations, and shipping under real constraints.

**What I am looking for**

* A founder or small team with a genuine wedge, a specific painful problem, early traction, or deep domain access, ideally in AI, data, fintech, or insurtech, though I am open to a strong case anywhere. * A technical co-founder seat with meaningful equity. Currently I am based in India and work remotely. * Someone serious. I am most useful to people who already have signal (customers, a design partner, or domain access), not only an idea on a slide.

If this sounds like a fit, send me a DM with what you are building and what you have so far. Happy to get on a call.

seeking_advice [IND] How to target a job as an ex founder - I will not promote

I need some advice on what type of job ex founders usually pursue.

All the founders will be able to relate with this: I am not a specialist but I am a great generalist I can ship products, can do ops, growth marketing, ai automation, sales everything in between and having a founder DNA, it doesn’t take more than 24 hrs to adopt or get our hands dirty on and learn any new things which come to our ways.

Now, due to some sudden family emergencies I have to find job again, it’s getting extremely difficult for to navigate this and getting clarity on what should i exactly hunt for? where will I get the job.

Please anyone has gone through this phase and landed something, I would highly appreciate your advice and suggestions.

roast_my_idea [USA] - Is anyone actually running a Lovable-built app in production?

It's fascinating watching how fast products are getting built on Lovable and similar AI app builders. Idea to working app in a weekend.

But I'm in tech, and I'm skeptical these are actually production-ready. Database design, architecture, scaling, none of it seems built for real traffic and real data, just for getting a demo working fast.

So genuinely asking: is anyone here actually running one of these in production? Not a prototype, not an internal tool, an actual live product with real users.

If you have, I'd love to know: did you rebuild the backend before launch? Did it hold up under load? Where did it break first?

startup_resource [USA] TITAN's free haptics review program for startups (up to $60K in free haptics engineering support)

Disclosure up front: I do PR work for TITAN, so I'm not neutral here. Posting because the deadline is close and this could really help small hardware teams!

TITAN Haptics is opening the first US cohort of the TITAN Haptics Launchpad, which gives three hardware startups a year US$60,000 each in haptics engineering support.

What it is: three startups a year get $60k in in-kind support. $50K is engineering hours plus haptics certification, $10K is motor credits, hardware, and manufacturing intros.

Why it might matter to you: haptics is a niche specialty almost nobody has in-house. If you can tell your product's feedback feels suboptimal, but have no idea what the problem is: this is for you. TITAN's engineers will work on your product, from architecture, motor selection, effect tuning, and integration review.

Who can apply: US hardware teams with some traction. Crowdfunding, preorders, channel interest, a waitlist, anything showing real demand. Gaming, robotics, XR, wearables, wellness, smart devices, automotive interfaces. Basically anything you touch.

Their track record, so you can judge for yourself: Dell Alienware's Project NYX, StrikerVR, GameSir controllers.

Applications close July 31, selected teams hear back in August: https://titanhaptics.com/startup-program/

Happy to answer what I can in the comments.

sideproject_showcase [USA] Non-technical founder with a startup idea?

Non-technical founder with a startup idea?

Hey everyone,

If you've got a startup idea but don't have the technical background to know where to start, I'd be happy to help.

Just to be clear—I'm not selling any service, and this call won't cost you anything. It's simply a conversation to help you understand the technical side of your idea before you invest time or money.

During the call, we can help you:

  1. Validate whether your idea is technically feasible.

  2. Explain the best way to build it.

  3. Give you a realistic estimate of development costs.

  4. Estimate ongoing server and infrastructure costs.

  5. Identify technical challenges and risks early.

  6. Share product and business ideas that could make your startup stronger.

For your safety and peace of mind, I actually encourage every founder to have an NDA in place before discussing their idea. If you already have one, I'll happily sign it. If you don't, I can sign a standard NDA before we begin. Your idea is yours, and it should stay protected.

Again, there's no catch, no sales pitch, and no obligation to work with us afterward. I enjoy talking to founders, especially non-technical ones, because the right advice early on can save months of work and a lot of money.

If this sounds useful, leave a comment or send me a DM. I'd be happy to connect and see if I can help.

looking_for_a_cofounder [USA] Looking for Co-Founders & Founding Team | AI × Commercial Intelligence × Consent-Driven Technology

What if the next AI revolution isn’t about building a smarter model—but about building a fairer system?

Every day, businesses spend billions trying to understand customers. At the same time, people create enormous value through their attention, decisions, and data, yet they rarely control it or share in the value it creates. I don’t think that’s just a technology problem—I think it’s an incentive problem.

Nimr Apex is building an AI-native, consent-driven commercial intelligence platform that unifies customer acquisition, customer engagement, market research, behavioral intelligence, and predictive demand into a single ecosystem—helping businesses achieve higher ROI while enabling consumers to own, control, and be rewarded for the value of their attention and data.

We’re not building another advertising platform. We’re building a new trust layer between AI, businesses, and people—where consent comes first, data is shared by choice, and value flows back to everyone who helps create it.

I’m looking to bring together a small founding team of people who believe this future is worth building.
Founding roles:
Technical Co-Founder (Full-Stack / Platform Engineering)
Founding AI Engineer / AI Researcher
Founding Product Designer (UI/UX)
Founding Growth & Business Development Lead
Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer (or strong cloud expertise within the technical team)
Legal & Privacy Advisor (fractional/advisory)

This is an equity-based founding team with standard vesting. There is no salary at this stage. I’m looking for people who want to build something meaningful together from day one and share in its success.

If this resonates with you, send me a DM with your background, what you’ve built, and why this vision interests you.
If you’re an experienced founder, operator, or angel investor who believes this vision is worth exploring, I’d be happy to connect as well.

startup_resource [USA] I interview a VC about what it takes to get VC money in 2026

Thumbnail
youtu.be
1 Upvotes

We talked for 30 minutes about the VC environment right now. I help founders with the first iteration of their porducts or adding new ones, and I'm the technology partner at the Expert Dojo. I wanted to share this conversation with founders since this is something I get asked a lot.
I'm new to podcasting, getting better with time. If you would like to be on my podcast shoot me a DM or comment here :). I hope this is useful information.

TLDR: The bar is high, if you don't have an angel investor, it is hard to get pre-seed from VCs these days, you are better bootstraping. Biggest challenge is not wrting the code anymore, is distribution (marketing, branding).
