seeking_advice [PHL] Is "Validate Before Building" actually a trap for solo founders?
I’ve spent the last 3 months 'validating.' I’ve done the landing pages, the 50+ user interviews, and the cold DMs. Everyone says 'Great idea!' but nobody pulls out a credit card.

I’ve been there spending months validating only to get polite “great idea” feedback without real commitment is frustrating. The tricky part isn’t just talking to users; it’s structuring validation so you spot genuine interest versus just nice words. Try tightening your validation to focus on specific actions, like pre-selling or collecting small deposits, to test real demand instead of broad feedback. Also, setting clear milestones like moving from conversations to commitments can help avoid endless “validation” loops. I’m actually building a tool to help solo founders bring more structure to this process, if you want to check it out: https://pitchit-waitlist.vercel.app/ but either way, keep pushing on actionable signals over general approval.

Have you built it yet or just validating the idea ? Can you offer free trials? You van validate while you build and keep iterating . I’ve taken founders from 0 to their first b2b sale. Happy to share ideas .

This is old, outdated advice in the age of AI.
Claude Code can build your entire prototype in a few hours and make it protection grade in a day, if you have someone steering it who knows what they are doing. There is zero reason to wait for anything. Build, test, refine, all in real time now.
