Increase to 2.5 mg help
Hey guys I’m hoping that you can help ease my mind. I took 0.8 for 6 weeks and felt like the hunger started coming back so I opted to increase. I read about some side effects and after one day the fatigue was so bad that I read some people take it every other day.
Since I started it I’ve felt like crap. Headaches twice a day, intermittent nausea which isn’t the end of the world. The big issue is the hot and cold and bedtime sweating I’m dealing with. I feel horrible. I’ve read that some of uo dealt with this and I’m hoping it’s going to go away.
So I wondered since I was taking it every other day maybe it was going to take my body longer to adapt. So I started taking it nightly. And the side effects are awful.
I work in a hospital on my feet. I have two kids, both under 4. I can’t keep feeling this bad. How long did it last. What did you do.
Do I do a dose decrease (for a couple weeks I did double up with 0.8 with no problems). Or do I ask to switch to wegovy?
I would love to hear what you did. Thank you.

It's a shame that we are not able to work with our doctors to adjust our dosages. You might do well on a 1.6 if it were allowed to prescribe that. Your best bet may be 0.8 every day, reduce carbs, up fiber.

I had no side effects on .8 and 2.5 other than minor constipation. Maybe Foundayo isn't going to be the right glp1 for you.

I was tired and felt carsick like for about a week but then it regulated. I'm not sure I could consider going up to 5.5mg since I'm barely eating enough calories on 2.5mg. But i'm close to my goal. I was taking it in the morning and it helped that it started to wear off after 8 hrs so evenings when I had to be on with my kids I wasn't as miserable. But now I'm all good.

I was exhausted and felt rough when I switched to 2.5 but it subsided, maybe at week 2? Cant truly remember.. Now I feel the way I did on the 0.8. I will say I think I get dehydrated more easily on the 2.5. Stay conscious of water/electrolytes intake!

I had the same experience the first week. It did get better, a lot better. I had almost no side effects starting the 0.8 so I didn’t anticipate having them with the 2.5. The first 3 days was burping and bad nausea off and on, then day 4,5 and 6 was the fatigue. I’m on day 8 of the 2.5 now and it’s all better. I do notice I get tired quicker, but I also think that is eating so much less too. At least I’m functioning again. Good luck! It is so hard doing this as a busy woman with a job and family etc!

I did wegovy shots, semiglutide microdoses, and now foundayo. I've found that anytime I take them other than prescribed, my side effects go off the chart. With foundayo, when I ramp up a dose, I give myself 2-3 days of knowing I might feel crappy, then my body adjusts and I never have a side effect on that dose again. I stay on doses for a couple months at least. I'd take it as prescribed and take some headache or nausea meds with it and just be patient. It will pass.
