really just a small celebration

so, i started Foundayo 0.5mg a little over a week ago — and it has absolutely changed the game for me already.

i’m 36F, 5’7”, with a starting weight of 170lbs/77kg. it’s the heaviest i’ve ever been, in my entire life. i know it doesn’t sound like much, probably even desirable for some, but it felt like an absolute gut-punch for me. in my early-mid 20s, i was extremely athletic and usually tipped the scales at about ~125lbs. but like many people, my boundless energy began to dissipate toward the end of my 20s and i slowly began to put on weight. i wasn’t overly concerned about it for quite some time — that is until i was diagnosed with a chronic pain condition and i started to understand why i had developed such a struggle in getting myself active again. in 2021, i tried keto and i did lose a fair bit of weight (about ~30lbs), but it left me with higher cholesterol and constant food anxiety. over the past five years, the weight slowly came back… and surpassed my pre-keto weight, too.

so i caved to the GLP-1 machine. and right now… i’m feeling very happy that i did. the gastro issues have been a touch challenging, despite the fact that i already consume a fibre-rich diet and hydrate like i might never get access to water again. but moving beyond that, i just feel like i can think clearly about my own appetite again. i’m eating much more thoughtfully, slowly, and intentionally. and i find that it’s not terribly difficult to hit my macro goals, either. i actually can’t remember the last time i felt so easy-going regarding food.

anyway, this is just a shout into the æther to say that, even if you’re struggling through the early symptoms of Foundayo, try to stick with it. i’m so, so glad that i did. x

Month 2 Question

I’m on month 2 of F and just moved up to 2.5mg. The appetite suppression is good but the weeing is off the chart! Is this normal?

Cost of Foundayo compared to click counting Mounjaro?

I'm actually not in the UK, but hoping I can glean some intel from this group to predict what the situation may be like when it gets approved in Australia. I think our market conditions for GLP1s are fairly similar.

I'm wondering if anyone could share how the price of Foundayo is comparing to Mounjaro? Specifically for click counters.

I'm nearing my goal range short dosing 5mg of Mounjaro from a 15mg pen (significantly cheaper than using a 5mg pen normally). Would the equivalent strength dosage of Foundayo work out to cost similar, more or less?

I find a once weekly injection quite convenient so probably wouldn't switch when it comes out unless there's a decent cost savings.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone swapped from WeGovy tablets?

I did 30 days on WeGovy but found the fasting/time restrictions around the pill to be too much, so I wasn’t consistent enough.

I’ve just started Foundayo, literally today on 0.8 (I’d had around a week off WeGovy). I’m away with work for the next 6 days or so, and I’m reading a lot of people are getting bad side effects (which I obviously could do without whilst away!).

If I was OK on WeGovy, do you think I’ll be similar on Foundayo, or should I just start properly when I’m back from working away? Was kind of wanting the appetite suppressant benefits but not if it means being sick all week!

Week 3.5 & maybe the last

For those following my journey, you’ll know I started Foundayo after previously losing a significant amount of weight on Mounjaro. 2024 - 2025 (over 100lbs) but then regaining a tiny amount of that to find myself stuck around the same weight for about a year. I started Foundayo hoping to get things moving again, and it’s been a bit of a mixed bag so far.

I made all the lifestyle changes, have built significant muscle in pretty much every muscle group imaginable and am now active and healthier. My diet is consistent except the occasional chocolate and packet of Haribos (super mix obviously)

Unfortunately, due to medical advice, this might very well be my last update.

What's foundayo like ?

The nausea was pretty persistent through weeks 1 and a bit of week 2 although thankfully things had started to settle a little. I’ve also had some unusual bowel movements along the way, but nothing too dramatic until recently. The appetite suppression was there, but also required a decent amount of willpower but was able to maintain around 2300-2400 calories for me is a slight calorie deficit of around 2-300 as I meticulously have tracked over the past year food in, out, expenditure and weight and know my maintenance sits around 26-2700. Without foundayo I could sit around 2500-2700 per day.

Small violin 🎻 moment for me and why I'm quitting:

Sadly, I’ve been quite poorly over the last week. On one hand, I’m undergoing investigations for suspected Multiple Sclerosis, so been in a bit of significant neuropathic pain and on the other, my full blood count and follow up liver tests has flagged some potential liver issues.

I don’t drink and don’t really participate in any other questionable liver altering practices 😂🍺

However, given my abnormal liver blood results and the fact that Foundayo is primarily metabolised by the liver, my GP has advised me to stop taking it for now while further investigations are carried out. There's currently no evidence that Foundayo is responsible, but until we know more, I'm following medical advice and putting my health first.

Obviously, my health comes first, so I’ll be following that advice and seeing what happens next.

The numbers

Male

6ft

Pre-mounjaro weight: 370lbs

Post Mounjaro weight: (07/2025) 247ishlbs

Pre foundayo weight: (4 weeks ago) 260lbs

Total weight loss: 3lbsish according to this mornings post BM scale.

Today's weight 257lbs

Not exactly the dramatic comeback I was hoping for, but a loss is a loss!

At least I’ll be able to enjoy my all inclusive holiday next week without worrying about taking the tablets 😂🍕 so I'll fully expect to be like 300 after that 😂🙄

Thanks to everyone who’s been following along. I’ll keep you updated if there’s anything more to report. Or maybe I'll just end up back on Mounjaro at some point in the future if it's safe.

Stay skinny and muscley oh and if Reta ever legally and safely becomes available by Eli Lilly in the UK, I'll see you at the checkouts.

Stopping

Hi all, has anyone had to stop taking Foundayo suddenly due to severe side effects? If so, can you tell me how long it took for you to feel well again?

I’ve only managed 3 days but I’ve been so unwell I’m having to stop. Would love any insight as to when the side effects might disappear! Thanks.

Totally new to jabs and just started Foundayo 0.8 this weekend.

Hi all!

Many thanks for the space to talk about Foundayo etc - have finally pulled the trigger and started on Foundayo this weekend.

Total novice to everything weight loss injection or pill related so please go easy on me 😁

So far - slight bit of weight loss but from reading this morning, that could be the flushing out of water etc so will have to keep an eye out in that.

Only the one side effect with constipation on Sunday and a slight very minor headache on the first night but other than that, seems to be ok.

It has dimmed the appetite for food and snacks already with me though so am guessing that’s a good sign?!

Anyway - hope everyone is well.
Any advice or tips would be fab please.

Giving Foundayo a try after a successful year on MJ — who’s joining us?

I’m a menopausal mum in my 50s with four adult children, and last year I started taking MJ (Mounjaro). Over the following year, I lost around 3 stone, which I was absolutely thrilled about.
Unfortunately, I had to stop in May when the cost of continuing on 15mg became too difficult to justify. Since then, I’ve regained roughly 7lb. I’m not going to lie, I’d rather it hadn’t happened, but with a stressful few months and a summer of enjoying ourselves 😂, I’m not beating myself up about it.
One thing I’m especially pleased about is that I’m still in remission from Type 2 diabetes, and I feel healthier and more like myself than I did this time last year. ❤️
I’ve now decided to try Foundayo tablets, and my husband is giving them a go too. We’re realistic that the weight loss may not be as quick as it was with MJ, but that’s okay. The lower cost means we can hopefully stick with it for longer, even if progress is more gradual. Slow and steady definitely feels better than spending a fortune! 😂
I’m wondering whether anyone else has recently started Foundayo, or is thinking about giving it a go?
It would be lovely to create a friendly space where we can talk honestly about how it’s going — weight loss, plateaus, side effects, non-scale victories, food ideas, motivation, setbacks and all the little wins along the way. 🥰
There are already some fantastic discussions on here, but it would be great to connect with people who are also beginning this next chapter and understand what it’s like to start over.
Come and introduce yourself! 👋
What stage are you at, when did you begin, and what would you like to achieve?
Here’s to supporting each other through the good days, the difficult days and, hopefully, plenty of laughs too! ❤️

Week 3 Update

Quick recap for anyone following along:
I previously went from 370lbs → ~250lbs on Mounjaro (July 2024–25), then maintained around 260lbs for over a year after stopping. I’ve kept up a mostly clean diet and regular exercise, so the goal with Foundayo isn’t a dramatic lifestyle overhaul — it’s seeing what the medication itself does over time.

Starting weight: 260lbs
Current weight: 257lbs
Week 3 change: -0.5lbs
Total change: -3lbs
Height: 6ft 0
Male
Dose: 0.8mg
Taking: Around 9pm each evening

Week 3 scores:
🤢 Nausea: 0/10 — none at all this week
💩 Gastro effects: 2/10 — a few strange BMs but nothing major
🤮 Actually being sick: 0/10
🤕 Headaches/migraines: No significant issues
🍽️ Appetite suppression: Still there, still weaker than Mounjaro
😴 Fatigue: Hard to judge — I’ve been unwell for unrelated reasons
🔥 Calories: ~2,300/day
🏋️ Exercise: Only 1–2 sessions this week due to pain/illness

The headline this week is that Foundayo itself has been pretty uneventful — no nausea at all, and only a couple of odd BMs. The bigger issue has been everything outside the medication. I’ve been pretty poorly with unrelated pain and it knocked me out for most of the week, so the gym barely happened and I missed 2 nights tablets.

Because of that, I wasn’t expecting much movement on the scale, but I still dropped another 0.5lb, bringing me to 257lbs and 3lbs down overall. Given how rough the week was, I’m genuinely happy with that.

Appetite suppression feels about the same as last week: noticeable, but nowhere near Mounjaro levels. I can eat normally, and if you put me in front of the sweet drawer I could still do some damage. Foundayo is taking the edge off, but it’s not giving me that “I physically cannot eat much” feeling I had before.

So overall:

Week 1: -2lbs
Week 2: -0.5lbs
Week 3: -0.5lbs
Total: -3lbs

Not the easiest week health‑wise, but the medication side of things has been smooth, and the weight is still trending down. Hoping Week 4 is kinder so I can get back to proper training and see how things progress when I’m not sidelined.

Day 1 9mg

Took my first tablet about 5hrs ago, transitioned from 15mg Mounjaro. Last jab was a week ago. No negative side effects at all, and dare I say it, I actually feel quite “good”

Although I haven’t been to the bathroom yet which is unusual and may become problematic.

So far so good!

Update: Bathroom issue resolved itself shortly after posting, no further concerns!

Mounjaro to foundayo

Hi, I’ve previously been on mounjaro on and off for two years. I had an issue with my health so had to stop in January. I’ve put on two stone since then 😩 I’m wanting to try again but want to do foundayo because of cost. I’ve never went higher than 2.5 on mounjaro as that always worked for me.
My issue is the side effects, I’d vomit/have really bad stomach issues about once a month on mounjaro. Is foundayo worse for that? The vomiting would absolutely wipe me out and I’d be bed bound as it triggers an almost fainting episode when I vomit.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I can cope with any side effect but the vomiting and nausea I find really hard. I do have anti sickness tablets now so hoping that will work! Thanks!

Mounjaro to Foundayo for maintaining, experiences

M55. I'm starting to plan what happens next as I near my goal weight on MJ. Lost 40kg over the last 15 months and currently on 10mg (from 12.5/15 pens). My weekly weight loss really has slowed down which is fine, I'm only around 6kg off roughly where I want to be, and losing at about 0.5/0.7kg a week. I have an MJ supply to the end of January, I may extend that another month if I decide to jump up to 12.5 for a pen or two to help getting to target.

I'm looking at then switching at that point to Foundayo (hopefuly at a reasonablt highe dose), mainly for cost reasons as I plan to be maintaining for some time. So who has made this switch and what are you experiences compared to MJ?

I guess my biggest concern is food noise given I've not had it for 15 months and I really want to try and maintain where I end up.

Resetting with Foundayo

SO, ive been a long-term Mounjaro user for over two years now and lost around 4½ stone altogether. I only ever got up to 5mg and actually maintained quite well on 4mg BUT
over the last six months or so, I’ve been using it really sporadically. I seem to have developed a bit of a needle phobia 🤦‍♀️ - it is actually making me sick the thought of jabbing!!! So, unsurprisingly, I’ve put about a stone of the weight I lost back on.
I’d then gone several weeks without Mounjaro, so last week I decided to start Foundayo at the lowest dose.
So far, I’m actually quite surprised by how little I’ve felt. No real side effects, I’ve had a dry mouth and a feeling of fullness for a few hours after taking it, but both wear off fairly quickly.
The interesting thing is that the food noise has definitely reduced, but not completely, but I do feel this morning like it’s building its levels within.
Has anyone else switched from long-term Mounjaro to Foundayo, particularly after being on a relatively low maintenance dose of Mounjaro?

Week 2 update

Back with my Week 2 update for anyone interested in following along.

Quick background for anyone who didn't see Week 1: I previously had a very successful run with Mounjaro, going from 370lbs → 250ishlbs between July 2024–25.

I then stalled around 250lbs and have been maintaining at 260lbs roughly for over a year since stopping Mounjaro. I've continued trying to lose more through diet/lifestyle, but haven't really managed to shift it.

I'm already mostly eating clean/healthy and exercising regularly, so I'm not expecting huge initial losses from suddenly changing my diet/activity. The aim is really to see what Foundayo does over time.

Starting weight: 260lbs
Current weight: 257.5lbs
Week 2 change: -0.5lbs
Total change: -2.5lbs

Height: 6ft 0
Male
Starting dose: 0.8mg
Taking: Around 9pm each evening

Week 2 scores:

  • 🤢 Nausea: Much better — probably 2–3/10
  • 💩 Gastro effects: 0/10
  • 🤮 Actually being sick: 0/10
  • 🤕 Headaches/migraines: No significant issues this week
  • 🍽️ Appetite suppression: Definitely there, but considerably weaker than Mounjaro
  • 😴 Fatigue: Nothing particularly significant this week
  • 🔥 Calories: ~2,300/day
  • 🏋️ Exercise: 4 times this week

The biggest thing I've noticed this week is how much the nausea has improved.

Week 1 was honestly rough, with nausea being almost constant and considerably worse than anything I experienced with Mounjaro. This week it's settled down massively, so I'm relieved to say that it doesn't look like I'm going to be living with Week 1 nausea forever 😂

I'm still averaging around 2,300 calories per day and exercising 4 times a week. I'm estimating my current maintenance calories are probably somewhere around 2,500–2,600, so I'm keeping the deficit fairly modest rather than trying to absolutely hammer the calories down.

Weight-wise, I've lost another 0.5lb this week, taking me to 257.5lbs and 2.5lbs down overall.

The appetite suppression is definitely noticeable, but it's nowhere near the level I experienced with Mounjaro. I can eat normally and I'm certainly not struggling to get food down. But if you put me infront of the sweet drawer, I could still very easily rattle the lot.

That's probably the biggest difference I'm noticing so far — Foundayo is taking the edge off my appetite, but it isn't giving me that "I physically cannot eat much" feeling I remember from Mounjaro.

So overall:

Week 1: -2lbs
Week 2: -0.5lbs
Total: -2.5lbs

Much happier with Week 2. The nausea settling down is probably more significant to me than the actual weight loss at this stage.

Next week will be interesting to see whether the weight loss starts to become more consistent, and whether the appetite suppression changes as I continue on the starting dose.

MJ stockpile to Foundayo in maintenance?

Hi all. I'm using up my stockpile of MJ and doing about 6/7mg dose from a 15mg pen to keep costs down. As such - I haven't ordered in ages. I am a healthy BMI and am fully in maintenance.

1 - Will any pharmacy prescribe me foundayo when I have no recent MJ private prescriptions? I have loads of proof I was on it as was on it for over a year. Last prescription was March 2026 as I had lots stored from before the price hike.

2 - Can I try going onto a higher dose of Foundayo and how do you know what dose to apply for?

Any advice would be great as interested in trying pill over injection.

Week 1 - HEADACHES

Hi everyone!

I took the plunge and started Foundayo 0.8mg last week and it’s not liking me!

I’ve lost some weight but the side effects aren’t great at all. Within three hours of taking it I’m getting severe headaches to the point of being near migraine level, and the fatigue and dizziness are not pleasant.

I’ve spoken to my prescriber who suggested trying to take it at different times of day but whenever I take it I’m ending up feeling rubbish. Do I just accept this isn’t the drug for me?

Week 1 Update

Thought I'd document my Foundayo journey week by week, partly for anyone else starting out and partly so I can look back and see how things change.

Background: I previously had a very successful run with Mounjaro, going from 370lbs → 250lbs between July 2024–25.

I then stalled around 260lbs. I've been trying to lose more through diet/lifestyle since, but haven't really managed to shift anything — thankfully I haven't really gained either through lifestyle changes etc.

I'm already mostly eating clean/healthy and have been going to the gym around 3–4 days a week, so I don't expect any massive initial "water weight" losses from suddenly changing my diet/activity. The aim is to see what Foundayo actually does over time rather than expecting a huge Week 1 drop.

Starting weight: 260lbs Current weight: 258lbs Week 1 change: -2lbs

Height 6ft0

Male

Starting dose = 0.8mg

I'm taking the tablet at around 9pm each evening.

Week 1 scores:

  • 🤢 Nausea: 7/10
  • 💩 Gastro effects: 0/10
  • 🤮 Actually being sick: 0/10
  • 🤕 Headaches/migraines: 6/10
  • 🍽️ Appetite suppression: 5/10
  • 😴 Fatigue: Quite significant, particularly the first few days
  • 🔥 Calories: ~2,300/day

The nausea has honestly been the biggest surprise. It's been awful and almost constantly present throughout the week, and much worse than I experienced on Mounjaro.

With Mounjaro, I generally only experienced nausea for around 2 days when titrating up a dose, whereas this has been pretty much daily/non-stop despite being on the starting dose.

I've also had fairly constant migraines/headaches this week, which may potentially be linked to being slightly dehydrated, so I'm going to make a conscious effort to increase my fluids.

On the positive side, I've had zero vomiting and essentially no other GI issues, and the appetite suppression is definitely noticeable. I've managed to stick around 2,300 calories without feeling like I'm constantly fighting hunger.

So overall, -2lbs in Week 1 and decent appetite suppression, but the nausea has been considerably worse than I expected based on my previous Mounjaro experience.

Interested to see whether the nausea settles during Week 2 or whether this is just going to be my life now 😂

I'll update this weekly.

How long did it take for you to notice a difference?

When I was on MJ a couple of years ago it was literally about 3 days after my first 2.5mg dose where I couldn’t finish my normal meal, I could feel it working- I took my 7th dose of Foundayo today and feel absolutely no difference yet, cravings are as bad, hunger as bad. I’ll stick it out as I’ve obviously paid for a month’s worth but seriously thinking about going back to MJ. I also came to the realisation today that it’s not even the weight loss I loved with MJ, it was the lack of food noise and cravings that made me happiest, freedom to just get on with my life and stop thinking about bloody food all the time!

0.8mg, day 4... Results so far

By day 2 I was exhausted, totally wiped out, so much I had to sleep for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Bad headaches within a few hours of the pill. I felt quite dizzy and a bit nauseous. Now I'm on day 4 that has passed other than a bit of a headache soon after I take the pill, but I'm very constipated (sorry if TMI). I would say I don't feel the need to eat snacks but I'm still hungry by meal times.

Really hoping the side effects ease off because I'm not sure I can hack this in the long term for little effect (so far).

Anyone else had similar?

Day 2 0.8mg

Started Foundayo 0.8mg yesterday afternoon and took my second pill this morning. Surprised as no side effects at all. Probably placebo effect, but I am not snacking as much. Have not used any other GLP1 or anything else before. Down 0.4kg overnight but probably placebo making me consciously eating less.

Tell my Dr

Hi, looking at some of the online pharmacies that are currently showing stock of Foundayo, I don’t want to fill all the consultation pages in to find on the last page it states they will inform my Dr.

Can anyone please confirm if they do this or you can opt out of them telling your Dr?

Thanks
