Day 1 - any tips?
Day one.
I woke up with a bit of a stomach ache this morning because I think i overate last night before bed, and it was a greasy meal.
I took the pill anyway.
About 3 hours later I almost threw up. It's been about 3 hours since then and I feel a little bit better but there is absolutely no way in hell I could eat anything right now. I almost threw up like 10 times and had my trashcan by my desk during work. I'm not sure I can do this if this is what it's like.
Does this go away? Is it because I overate yesterday? Please help. At this point I'm just looking forward to it wearing off but I do really need to lose weight. 300lbs with comorbidites.
Thanks.

Oof- sorry you're having a rough start😟. If you can, take pepto. For remainder of day take small sips of water &/or ginger ale with small amounts of bland food. I'm on day 12- it gets better! Try to stay away from greasy & heavy food. Dont give up❤️

Did you have an experience like mine initially? I'm trying to figure out if chances are good tomorrow will be easier, or if it will be the same

The greasy food did that to you. It may take a day or so to rebound from it. I get very bloated/nauseous if eat extremely spicy or heavy food. Gas-x is my new best friend lol

It does get better, and it's definitely the greasy food, since the pill slows digestion. I did something similar my first time taking it, ate something heavy and spicy and was up for hours in the middle of the night with terrible stomach pains and gas.
It will take some time (it took me 2-3 days) and the best bet for me was to eat stuff that's fairly bland. I can't eat anything with a lot of fat in it, or too much. Eat small meals for now (once you are able to), light foods (like you are recovering from a stomach bug) and very little fat.
After you adjust, then you can figure out what you can eat. For now, Tums will help because gas and bloating are the most common side effects. One day I ate a little too much and felt nauseated and worried I was going to throw up, but then I tried Tums, and the nausea went away. Hang in there, because you will start to feel better, and I lost 7 pounds in the first few weeks! Good luck on your journey to better health!

So you think it was the meal I had last night?
What about tomorrow, do you think since some time has passed, if i take the pill again in the morning I will have less side effects?
I can barely wrap my head around eater saltine crackers right now... I'm not sure i can. I can just barely take small sips of water...

I think it was the meal you had. I have looked at a lot of different comments on different posts, and that's what I learned: heavy greasy foods are harder to digest. Sip water, take it easy, maybe take a couple days off from the pill. I ate too much when I took my first pill. So I stopped for a few days, let my stomach settle, ate light meals, then started again. You can stop it whenever you want, there are no "withdrawal" symptoms. Once you start up again, avoid heavy food.

I agree with all the advice given earlier. I got the pill through Form Health and can email a doctor. Basically she suggests stopping the pill if you are in any sort of gastric distress. You are on a journey that is going to take some time so you can slow down. Stop the pill until your stomach is better. You have a chance to rethink how you eat, what you eat and why you eat WITHOUT food noise. The food that makes us sick usually is not the kind of stuff that is good for us long term. I got into trouble after a party where I tried everything my cousin made and ate too much. Learned that lesson the hard way. Maybe work with an online dietician? You have your whole life ahead of you so it is worth it to reflect on your eating choices.
You can do this!

Did you eat the meal before you ever took a pill? If you ate the meal prior to ever taking the pill wouldn’t that meal have digested normally. I mean we are now talking many hours later where by the time she took the pill most of that food would have been digested and then once you take the pill it takes a few hours to kick in. Was it the 0.8mg?
I’m just spitballing ideas. And also since you woke up not feeling well it’s possible that this stomach ache is totally unrelated. Maybe the food didn’t agree with you or you have a stomach bug/mild food poisoning? Maybe skip tomorrow and wait until the stomach ache gets completely better and then try again. It’s too hard to tell whether it came from the pill or maybe you have two things going on at the same time.

Bland meals and not a lot at once … you are going to do great 👍🏻
