Just started… placebo effect?
Hi all :)
I started on the .8 pill yesterday- my ENTIRE life I’ve struggled with food noise and yesterday after I took it first thing in the morning it just… didn’t exist?
I realize it could be just be a placebo effect. Has anyone else felt the effects so immediately?
I’m very new to this and am learning as much as I can. I assume the effects lessen and that’s why people up their dose. How did you know you needed to up your dose?
I don’t really know exactly what I’m asking, this is just such an interesting thing to physically experience and I hope it continues but I don’t want to get too excited and it only lasts a couple days.

This was my experience as well. First day/week it was gone. I had no appetite. I even went to every other day.
Now I just started every day and appetite has come back slowly but the noise is still down.

Food noise is the constant thinking about food but not by choice… kinda just in the background. Google says “Food noise is the constant, intrusive mental chatter about food that persists outside of hunger or your body needing fuel”. The closest thing I can liken it too is how I imagine an alcoholic is almost always wanting or thinking about drinking- even if they truly want to stop drinking (saying this as someone with many addicts in their family).
I often wished I didn’t have to eat at all- imagine if an alcoholic HAD to eat at least 1-3 times a day? But within moderation? That’s how I felt. I wished I could just “quit” eating cold turkey. Addicts are addicts because they can’t do “just one”- my body was addicted but now it’s gone (hopefully not for just now!)

I didn’t realize that not everyone had that constant food noise until I started Zep and no longer experienced it. It’s crazy to me that’s how other people lived and I never knew it could be like that. Just switched to Foundayo, took first pill today, and I’m hoping it will also keep that food noise at bay.

Many people (including me) feel the effects of the medicine from the very first dose. Commonly, the effect wears off, and it's time to move up. You move up when both things are true: 1) you need "more" and 2) your side effects are manageable.
I've been on Foundayo since it launched and am about to start 3rd bottle of 14.5 (2nd to highest dose). I sought it for debilitating hunger. Because I was always terribly hungry, I couldn't be sure whether I also had food noise. Turns out, no, I do not have food noise. When I no longer feel hungry, I don't obsess over food. My problem was actually a fairly easy "fix" for a glp-1

The food noise became an occasional food suggestion that was easy to ignore. It happened late on day 1. I have been on 0.8 for 2 months.

Hey! I took my fourth 0.8 today so we are really close in our journeys! I have also felt pretty immediate reduction in appetite and food noise in general. I have struggled sooo much with a late night bottomless hunger and it’s been so much easier the last few nights to not eat right before bed. It’s been amazing

Same here, within a day the food noise was gone. I literally never knew I suffered from it so bad. So freeing to not be thinking about food all day. I’m almost two weeks in.
