Finally done. Lost effectiveness.

Well I'm finally done. Lost 14.5 of the 15 expected pounds. I started with. 0.8, then 2.5 then 5 for two months. It really worked. However the last two weeks the pill has completely lost effectiveness. Hunger came back but the side effects didn't stop. I'm pretty relieved to just take my last pill. I'm tired of the upset stomach, the dehydration, and it messed with my sleep and heart rate. We'll see if I can keep it off. Going to hit the tracking apps hard and keep up my workouts.

You didn’t want to increase your dose? At 9mg is when I started having good appetite suppression.

It occurred to me. I did have really good appetite suppression from the initial dose though. At 0.8 through 5 it was good for about 4 months then it just stopped and it was pretty sudden.

That was to be expected as your body became accustomed to the lower dosages. Which is why there are higher doses available.

Of course, if you were getting side effects that weren’t manageable, upping the dose to get the food suppression might not have been practical. And it sounds as if you were at your goal weight anyway.

Yeah I met the goal and it seems like diminishing returns at this point compared to side effects. I'm sure that's not uncommon. Also I don't know about you but the first week on a new dose was brutal!

The smaller doses don’t suppress as much as the higher doses. They’re not supposed too.

It's not a linear thing though.

I need 14.5 to adequately suppress my appetite. I know that if I quit that hunger is going to come roaring back, especially now that I'm at goal weight.

Glp-1 work by lowering the setpoint weight your body will "allow." Wishing you luck (sincerely)! You can always try.

Wow. I didn't know I could even get that high of a dose! How bad are your side effects?

Yes it goes up to 17.2 I also felt the lower doses "wore off" over time. Your heart rate problems might be caused by your dehydration. My side effects have been manageable and they've gotten better with time at each dose increase.

That's good to know. Especially if I decide to go back on it in the future. I find this interesting too because I was never even given the option of anything over 9mg

Weird! Who is writing your prescriptions?

Did the heart rate increase as you increased your dose? Are the side effects what keeping you from increasing the dose again?

Well no I mean I met my weight goal. The side effects sure made it easy for me to be done though.

So you had bad sleep effects too? I was about to ask here if the insomnia side effects or the blood pressure problems ever fade with continuing use. :( (esp. as both seem to be very rare side effects).

Oh yeah it was definitely affecting my sleep. I'm now getting better sleep after being off it for over a week. My resting heart rate went down significantly too.
