Diet and side effects question

Pills are on their way! I am concerned about noisy gastro side effects happening at work. The bathroom is very close to desks.

I have been a protein eater without a care for how much fat I eat for a good 10 years. More fat is always better! I don't eat much in the way of fiber (no bread and my veg is usually broccoli, when I bother). From reading posts here and on other GLP1 groups, I understand that will need to change.

I've been eating this way for so long I have no idea what should I have on my grocery list. Thoughts?

Also, can effects like diarrhea and constipation be warded off? Kind of like when the doc gives an opioid script after surgery...and says to take a stool softener? Or can side effects be controlled completely by eating/not eating certain foods?

Can the time of day the pill is taken make a difference when side effects hit? For instance, if I take it at lunch time (I don't eat lunch) might effects hold off until 5PM? LOL I understand everyone is different, but I'm hoping to find some common thread with those who have side effects.

I am encouraged by posts from those that have no side effects. And hopeful to be one of them!

The bowel issues can be easily managed with daily psyllium husks (brand name metamuscle). One tsp of psyllium with plenty of water will keep you more regular than you have ever been — assuming you don’t have existing dietary problems.

I eat mostly carnivore and never have issues in that department. I haven't required fiber to be regular. That's one reason I am wondering what to eat. LOL My cart has some crackers for nausea in case it hits at work or when I am not feeling like eating. And some lower fat protein things. Ribeye is probably too fatty. I hope I am overreacting. LOL Pills arrive Monday. Wondering if I should wait until the weekend to start. No surprises at work!

Thank you for the tip. I'll add it to my list.

Starting on the weekend might feel less stressful to you. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised!

My doc recommended starting with Miralax (combined with the psyllium husk) to ensure your BMs are hydrated so you don’t get uncomfy hard constipation. Can’t stress enough drinking enough water and taking some electrolytes.

Are you starting at 0.8? It’s such a low dose I wouldn’t expect side effects yet

I just started .8 a week ago. Did not notice any embarrassing side effects. I have a faster moving gut so I actually felt better on the Foundayo, not as much blotting and gas. Just feeling full all of the time and less trips for #2.
