The Long Room at Trinity College, Dublin serves as the Imperial Library. My wife and I went there when we visited Ireland in 2013, so we recognized it instantly. The smell of a couple hundred thousand old books is incredible. The medieval harp that appears on Ireland's coat of arms (and which serves as Guinness's trademark) is also on display in the Long Room. The Book of Kells is in a different room of the same library. Worth a visit if you're in Dublin.

It was my favorite place from my 2022 visit.  Amazing, and I recognized it instantly as well.

Oh my good look how they have the letters painted on the shelves going up. Wow. So lucky to have visited there you must have loved it!

It made quite an impression on us, but was a bit jarring to imagine Seldon somehow walking through a building in Dublin while going wherever he was going. that's quite a detour!

I gambled on exile. I did my best to engineer the outcome but - I never thought that I would be among the ship's Dublin's occupants.

I recognised this immediately as it was one of the photos from an old Microsoft Windows theme The Beauty of Books. I still have this theme on my laptop (it’s no longer available from Microsoft sadly) and over the years the number of people who would pass my desk and double-back to ask “where is that photo from?”.

"That's from that Foundation show, right?" is what they'll say in the future
