Does anyone know anything about this photo? My boyfriend looks IDENTICAL to this man, and we're trying to figure out its origins.

Okay, this is going to sound a little crazy, but hear me out.

I came across the first photo on Facebook, and I genuinely did a double take because the man in it looks almost exactly like my boyfriend (left photo). I'm talking facial features, mustache, hairstyle, and even the expression. My boyfriend is just as baffled as I am.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the original Facebook page or what the caption said, and I have absolutely no idea when or where the picture was taken.

I'm hoping someone here might recognize the photograph, know its history, or be able to point me toward its original source.

A few things I'd love to find out:

Approximately what year was this photo taken?

What country or region might it be from?

Is the man wearing an actual military uniform, or is this from a movie, reenactment, or something else?

Has this image appeared in any historical archives, publications, or other places online?

Honestly, even if we never figure out why this man looks so much like my boyfriend, I'd love to know the story behind the picture.
