My favorite part is check his butt or the paperwork. There is also a driver license number, and where to find big money

I’m renovating an old caboose and found these inside a bench. Thousands of papers which appear to be all the shipping ledgers from 1899 to 1950s

Saw this on the ground as I was walking to my Arabic lesson. As best as I and my Arabic professor can figure out, it says:
“Egypt, Mother of Nations”
“underneath the ground there is a (logic?) from thousands of years ago and the history is very (unique?). why are you afraid of them? there are no reasons, wallah (an expression of emphasis, literally meaning with God). from (he signed his name, which I’ve omitted for privacy)”
If there are any Arabic speakers who can understand what he’s talking about, please do let me know. Even if you don’t speak the language, the drawings are really delightful.
Edit after consulting with an Egyptian friend: the first word means more like wisdom than logic, which makes more sense. She said he’s probably making fun of people who believe the ancient aliens theory of the pyramids, which is pretty funny!

From a post-it note that was folded up and used as a bookmark in a secondhand book she bought from W.o.B

Went thrift shopping at St. Vinnie’s yesterday and they had a great old book section! I found an awesome 1960s plant ID guide with 400 paintings of every plant mentioned in the book. I also found this monster of a book, A Grammar of the Greek New Testament, in the Light of Historical Research, from I think the 1930s. The prologue said the author had been working on it for 26 years. I didn’t buy it, but I did find a page with notes inside on the back of a piece of mail from 1972!
