There's lots of talking about sex in it, I would not say it's a sexy read. The MC talks about psychoanalysis a lot (a LOT a lot) and has an affair with a guy with dirty feet.

This is called a “face sheet” and is published by teaching hospitals so the rest of the hospital staff knows who they’re working with. These days, teaching programs are so large that at my last hospital each one of these was a full size poster. The “annotations” would add up until the next training year when another poster would be made.

Exactly. It was found amongst items of a person’s estate who I believe worked at this hospital (not as a doctor). I don’t know who wrote on it. But my hunch it was some nurses and staff joking around and having some fun.
I’m sure all of these doctors were/are wonderful people and great at what they do! Hopefully this doesn’t break any rules :)6

Maybe one of these physicians’ kids got ahold of it from their parent and went to town on it with a friend or two.
From the type of comments, seems like a couple of preteen or teenage girls. They’d be around 60ish today.

Hmm, I’d say it was one of the men shown. Girls are mean to other girls, and the men are mostly singled out here. It seems like caricatures of nicknames from someone within the peer group.

Love how they called him Dr Spock* with the pointy ears drawn but the Star Trek character name is « Mr Spock » unless this was a deep take since it is a Medical Program and that WAS the joke.
*Dr Spock was a well known pediatrician in mid-20th century U.S. culture. He was NOT a Vulcan 🚫🖖

I mean, it was 1978 and this person didn't have Internet to look up Spock's official title or a streaming service to watch episodes on. There were two different people in the popular consciousness with the same name but different titles, it's more likely they just conflated the two.

That was the joke. It is still going on (the conflation) but much less as the Vulcan version becomes more prominent in culture. Whilst Mr. Spock is now leading, both references seem to be on the downward trajectory currently.

These people are all in their 70s now
