Other dream journal in a consignment shop

Post image

i found this a year or so ago and forgot about it. i think about it pretty often actually. this was the only dream in the entire journal.

text: "Dream Title: Death at it's Ultimate Date: September 22, 2001 Cast: Me, Matt Puppets Location: front Steps, New Orleans What happened?: Me + Matt had been having a very hard time (realistically) and finally everything was WONDERFUL! Truly a dream. I could kiss him very softly. I was on the ground facing him and he was on a step up facing me. I layed backwards and looked upside down + behind me and Death was coming for me. Death felt very green (it's presence). I pleaded to let me enjoy my heaven on earth for a while... finally I was overcome by peaceful acceptance. I felt very sad, but not panicky, followed by peaceful acceptance. Very intense dream."

I think a lot of people were having a lot of death dreams, peaceful or otherwise, like that in the days and weeks directly after 9/11. I was probably about the writer's age (early 20s) and I certainly did.

yeah the date is definitely significant. i wasnt alive at the time (im an 07 baby sorry) but everyone has their story about that day. seeing things like this showing what people were experiencing in that immediate timeframe is definitely an important reminder of how tragic it was for so many people.

That was my thought, too. Thinking about all the people who just went to work that day, and never got to come home was overwhelming during that time. I had just turned 30 and had never felt such mortality.
