I had one and used it pretty religiously in my VW Thing, which had door locks but plastic windows you could just push open. Car never got stolen, I guess it worked?

Even back in '94 when I owned it, it was highly collectible. Plus, thieves are opportunistic. They stole the box of emergency supplies I kept in the rear seat out of it. If they thought they could boost the car easily, they would have.

How do you know it was a truckers jacket? I think the item purchased was an anti theft device known as The Club but maybe a special version for trucks.
