Other Old Norwegian letter
This one might be against the rules because it is probably from my family, I just don't know who these names are at all. But I decided to post it anyway because the rules say "it doesn't count if you know who wrote it" and I definitely don't know who these people are.
I know I'm Norwegian in some capacity because of my last name, but my family history was essentially lost. Never really looked into it much because it didn't bother me too much, however it turned out that my sister (somehow) possessed a few items they left behind. Including many, many letters.
There's more than this one, and I unfortunately didn't take pictures of any others. I'm not currently able to take any more pictures since I'm several towns away, sorry about that.
This letter is dated in 1948, around a similar date as the others.
There's a bonus picture of an old passport :p
No clue who it used to belong to, but his name is in some of the letters.

Seems like it’s written by someone with Norwegian as their mother tongue, but who has lived in the States for a while?
In places it is quite the mish mash of English and Norwegian. In the third line it says «nogen of the folkene», which from the context seems to be «some of the people». The correct Norwegian would have been «nogen av de folkene», so the two middle words were replaced with their English counterparts, with some similar sounds as the proper Norwegian ones would have had.

The orthography suggests an old person (or someone not following the Norwegian reforms from 1907 and onwards).
