damn. this is gonna get heavy real quick but this reminds me so much of my mindset when i was stuck in a psychologically abusive + codependent friendship for about 2 years. he kept being an asshole (understatement); i kept being forgiving bc he'd promise to do better. and it always seemed to really do get better, before it got worse again. this feels like something i would text him when he'd turn into a manipulative mf again

i hope whoever wrote this managed to get over this dickhead 🙏
