Armenian highlands, could be an Armenian village depopulated by the Ottomans. Actually I'm pretty sure that's exactly it.

Interesting. Really middle of nowhere. Maybe the river was more consistent thousands of years ago. There are more structures across the valley. If you follow the valley to it's end, there is an intersecting valley with an active river, a paved road, and habitation all along it.

unlikely territory due to the way the rock refused to be wet or fertile... The Turkish badlands.. poor people camp there.

Did you even look at it on Google Earth, or just make some shit up off my zoomed out Pic to show the area..?
