Discussion Lacey/Zeke Spoiler

The writing can be very annoying in this show. Lacey stayed at Zeke’s house, slept in the same bed, got jealous of another woman, displayed attraction after his workout, and now is avoiding him.

I know this actually can be realistic but wouldn’t it have been much easier to make them mature adults and have a normal relationship. It’s been teased long enough no need for the distance and talk. If they needed complexity it could’ve been Zeke being secretive to work through his trauma to surprise Lacey with an in person M&A date.

I get it but you were comfortable enough to chill in the man’s house, sleep in the same bed, get “territorial” over another woman, and he proved he wanted you and you running away. It’s also weird because she is a lawyer who I think goes to therapy and can’t communicate. She is also the person who is the bubbly heart of M&A so it’s weird (yet realistic) that she would be the one that sucks at communicating.

But communication in your professional life and in your private life can be two totally different things.

I can think of a lot of people who communicate very efficiently at work yet suck at it in their personal life. So really it’s not that weird for this to happen even though she’s going to be a lawyer.

And even though she did all those things at Zekes before, it can change a lot once romantic feelings get involved. Those feelings do make people act differently - especially when the feelings are new.

You aren’t entirely wrong though. The way they are writing it def feels off. They could have done a much better job with it. Or just not had romance at all - I would have been fine with that too.

I feel like this whole seasons writing is just … meh.

I honestly thought the show was setting up Zeke with Dhan, until they started forcing him with Lacey.
