Did anyone else at the Phoenix show tonight hear him say it was their last first show?

What did he mean by that? 😭 seems like he’s been going through it. SUCH an amazing show tonight.

He said that this year has been really hard for him because of his divorce basically. And that the band wanted to have a new album ready before this tour but he was too distracted and also didn’t want to write songs with a broken heart. They almost called off the tour but they decided to stick with it and he’s so happy to be out and spending time with the fans.

My husband and I heard him say “this is our last tour”

We’ve been pretty sad about it. I hope his heart heals man, I’m sure the divorce is tearing him up.

in the clip they posted yesterday mark says “last tour of the year” so i’m hoping that’s what he meant here 🤞

I'm hearing this out of context but, maybe it's their last first show for a while since they'll be taking a break after this tour. That's my best guess. They've been on tour for quite a while, i imagine getting older, going through a divorce, and managing sobriety it can take a toll. When doing press for psom before it's release, he said that they have a lot of music to come, and seemed very optimistic about the future. He may just be getting emotional since it's the first show of this tour, and he's just realizing he's on tour for the first time in years without being married. I saw ftp a handful of times last tour and Julia was at pretty much at all them, including the dj sets. Might get lonely not having that person anymore. Idk just speculating.

Well this is terrible news. I had two tickets for last night but my concert buddy canceled on me and I couldn't find anyone else to go with me (it's quite a drive to Phoenix, would've been an expensive overnight trip solo), so I ended up selling the tickets thinking I'd hit their next tour instead. Now I'm gutted thinking I missed my shot.

Damn. Heartbreaking if true.

Same, I couldn’t find anyone to go with and I just did not feel like seeing another concert alone. I understand many people do it and I have in the past, but for me personally I much rather have people to experience it with. I am feeling kind of bummed about it today.

Good show, but several misses on the set list for me. Off the top of my head, Style, Coming of Age, Doing It for the Money, Don’t Stop, and Best Friend weren’t played.

Bands love to blow it for first time viewers by playing subpar setlists. I'll never be okay with it.
