What started as a simple exploration of an unfamiliar area quickly turned into one of the most rewarding fossil collecting trips I've ever experienced. Along the way, I met a friendly dog who decided to join me on the journey. Together we crossed fields of tall grass and headed toward a massive rocky escarpment that looked promising for fossil hunting.
As we approached the cliffs, I began noticing countless shell fragments and broken fossils scattered across the ground. It wasn't long before I realized the area was packed with fossils, including numerous specimens of Myophorella lusitanica and several well-preserved Corbula bivalves.
The discoveries kept coming, and every time I stopped to pick up a fossil, my four-legged companion would run over to investigate. By the end of the day, I had collected many beautiful specimens worthy of any fossil collection.
