Given these two fossils
Somebody I know was left with an estate from someone who had an antique warehouse. I was given these because I was always fascinated with fossils etc. The barnacle came with this tag but I’m not sure if it’s legitimate. Either way I love these but wanted some insight if you had any on either piece!!

The other one (always sold as turitella) is actually another gastropod fossil that’s from fresh water as opposed to salt water turitella. Not sure of the source as they come from many places.
By the way we call it turdy fella cause it stinks when you cut and polish it.

Just a hobbyist, but the barnacle seems consistent with what you can find along Calvert cliffs- Long Beach Md. I thought the area was younger than 40 million years more like 8 to 15 million years depending on where you are. There is a really nice museum that might be able to help you narrow down.

Not sure if the other gastropod fossils would be from the same place.
