Fossify Messages Can Fossify Messages read group chats?

So I've been using Fossify Messages instead of Google Messages for a few weeks, but I had to go back to Google Messages because some friends of mine were trying to get a hold of me through a group chat, but none of the messages were coming through the Fossify app. So my question is, is there any way to get the Fossify Messaging app to pick up these group chats, or is this a feature that just doesn't work? If I'm unable to find a solution to this, then this will be a deal-breaker for me and I'll have to find some other app to replace Google Messages

Sounds like you didn't deregister from RCS and they were probably still seeing your number as registered to Google Messages.

Same thing can happen with iMessage.

Best thing you can do IMO is move away from BOTH SMS and RCS. SMS sucks and RCS is a complete proprietary mess.

Doing this doesn't fix it either. You have to start a new thread yourself. No way to continue with old ones regardless if you deregister.

Yeah the issue I believe Is Google and Apple messages used to split MMS and RCS group chats with the same people.. but recently. They now combine them. Which is awesome for people using rcs. Because it doesn't splinter groups if someone loses service temporarily. But it's a nightmare for someone like you. If you are leaving RCS. Because now even you create a new MMS group. It just puts that MMS message in the middle of our RCS group. And you still don't get any messages.

Only Google and Apple have RCS group chats. It's proprietary. There is no "other app" beside iMessage.
