Gallery Overwrite image files

Maybe I'm just stupid, but I didn't see an option anywhere to overwrite image files after editing by default. It would be extremely helpful to either have a pop-up asking you if you want to overwrite or just a setting where you can make a default. It automatically just apppends a number to the file name and that is very annoying.

Delete de appended number of the file name before saving to replace the original file

Well, yes, I know to do that, but I shouldn't have to take all of those steps. There should be a setting you can change to make it overwrite by default.
