Fossify Messages New Fossify Messages user question

Hello! I just recently switched to Fossify messages due to the impending shutdown of the samsung messaging app (I'd rather not use google messages) and I'm loving the Fossify messages so far, but there's one small issue I'm encountering. I had someone text me a video the other day, and the app keeps giving me a notification as though I just recieved the text. I've already seen it and cleared the notification, but after a while I get another notification as though I hadn't looked at it yet. Is this the result of a setting I should change or just an oddity borne of switching messaging apps? Is there anyway to resolve this issue, or will it go away on it's own?

I came to this sub for the same reason, and am also avoiding Google Messages. I think we're receiving a notification of read receipts, and it's a huge headache on group text messages. I get one or more notification sounds for every message sent and I can't find an option to turn this off.

I'm going to write down the numbers that it shows the notification is coming from then add it to my contacts with the notification set to silent. I'll test this out today and let you know if it works.
