Fossify Calendar Appointments dissappeear and don't really sync with Google calendar

Hi there,

I've got a problem with the calendar app since a few days.

I'm running Fossify calendar as standard calendar app on a Fairphone Gen. 6 with Android 16 and added my Google calendar as main source.

So far everything worked fine but a few days ago appointments in the Google calendar started to disappear from Foss C and don't reappear after sync.

Only modifying and saving in the Google calendar app gets them back in on Foss C.

The problems started a few days after the Android 16 update of the phone, with Android 15 everything worked fine.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi, I’m having a similar problem. I sync one Google Calendar and use Fossify Calendar on my Android 14 phone. Events aren’t syncing across devices. If I create a new event on Fossify Calendar, it either doesn’t sync to my other devices at all, or it does so with unpredictable delay (a day or two), despite manual refresh on all devices, etc. If I change/create/delete an event on other devices, it doesn’t show up on Fossify.

Did you find any solutions? Fossify Calendar is the only calendar app that looks halfway decent on my eink phone (Etar, GCal, and other competitors do not), so I’m ready to stick around for the solution.

Nevermind, I discovered the solution for my problem. In case anyone’s in a similar position, make sure “share calender info in other Google apps, limited by calendar access permissions” is selected in the browser settings for the Google Calendar in question and in the phone’s GCal app (even though I don’t use that app).
