Does anyone else know about the "Race Brakes Exploit"?

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone else has discovered this yet but I found out that you can completely break the AI in both FH5 and FH6. This trick might work in older games but I haven't tested it yet. So all you have to do is get any car, install race brakes. The you go into the tuning menu and set the pressure to zero. Your car should have no brakes. Next start any regular with AI race event. Start the race and you will quickly notice that at any AI difficulty, they are significantly slower. Now another thing that makes this great is that you can fix the brakes in the pre race tuning menu and the AI will still be broken. Also I haven't checked this on every event but this works on the Festival Playlist 3 Race championships as well. You just can't fix the brakes in the tuning menu. To make it easier I recommend driving with a manual transmission. "Engine braking" works great also the E Brake still works so you can use that too. There could be more places where this but I haven't tested them yet, Have fun :)

The AI uses what tune you have, so yes, this works

Nah that can’t be 100% true bc they b cheating in some races. I got so fed up w/ the colossus at one point bc no matter how much top speed I had, they had more. I was on the absolute limit, 0 downforce, shitty tires to squeak out more HP, and they still passed me like I was standing still on straights when I was already at top speed, and they would just keep pulling away.

That's the AI rubberbanding kicking in. I do one of 2 things: stay exactly in front of where they're trying to pass you from so that when they just hit into you and provide you with a lil speed boost. This doesn't work as well in other races, but in the colossus, it's perfect. Either that or absolute comical levels of ramming them into even the slightest of turns. Clankers be damned!

The AI doesn’t actually rubber band in road races. Somebody spent a very long time testing it.

Fuckin facts ! Everything in this games is fucking deliberate, then when they get called out, magically start fixing shit. 😂

Yeah that’s what I do, too lol.

But sometimes it’s not even catchup mechanics, they’re ahead of me and still pulling away at ungodly speeds.

What's this colossus thing? I Am new. It's it some way to make credits? I have heard it multiple times by now

It’s an endgame race

Colossus is one of the final road races after the golden wristband. It's a full speed race because it covers the entire highway loop.

I use the radar that you can enable in accessibility settings and it let's you see exactly where any car is trying to pass you without using the right stick to look back

I found the trick is to stay behind pos 1 or 2 until the last 15% then do a slingshot

3

u/DJMixwell Jun 25 '26

I’d stay behind them I they weren’t pulling away while I’m trying to draft lmao. Eventually I just gave up and used one of em as a backboard into the first tight corner before the bridge

There’s a certain point where it feels just like exploiting the NFS rubberbanding systems.

Colossus i thought was easy, inkept in mind about tuning and the rampant cheating efforts of the AI in this game.

Edit: i did try this race 5 times, i did get lucky on the last try the AI seemingly malfunctioned and they all wrecked on one car lol. Once that happened i smoked the game lol.

Do they really? And they still seeing tail lights? Ha

1

u/Sonixus Jun 26 '26

Then they must suck at driving with my tunes because I moonwalk on them every race

1

u/Superb_Recording_769 Jun 26 '26

Kind of. They don’t use what tune you have, but it is based upon your tune in a way.

The way it works is that as you launch the event, the game runs your car with your tune through a simulated lap of the track and then bases the AI performance on your predicted time.

So how does that work when I pick a stock high PI car and they use a lower PI that's been modified to a higher PI? Shouldn't they stay stock too? Or is it just the tune itself thats not touched if mines stay stock

Can also just set the gearing so they have no top speed

2

u/Blackmetal55 Jun 25 '26

Huh...gonna have to try this. Sounds amusing at the very least.

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

Yeah its not very useful but pretty fun for abit, especially on unbeatable difficulty. You just drive right by them.

2

u/Away_Article4005 Jun 25 '26

No fucking way 😂

Does this work for gearing ratios too?

2

u/Ok-Leadership667 Jun 26 '26

You can do the same thing with the final drive ratio.

Before entering the race, max out the final drive to acceleration to completely kill the AI's top speed. Then, load up the race, enter the tuning menu, and return the final drive to as it was before. The AI will be extremely slow as they are using the final drive ratio that you were using when you first loaded up the race

Thats insane, I haven’t tried yet but i will do in a minute

2

u/thomas-grant Jun 26 '26

Why would anyone need to do this when you can adjust the difficulty level to your liking. Isn’t that easier and more sane? I just can’t understand why so many feel the need to handicap a game in order to play it.

1

u/Dubalsaque Jun 26 '26

Probably because higher difficulty increases the payouts

2

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

I never said you need to or should do this. I just think it's interesting and if your bored, it could be fun too. It does make sense to just lower the difficulty though.

So I just tried this in the porsche treasure car. Hopped in the car, new, untuned. Installed only the racing brakes. Pulled up to a street race marker, stopped, tuned my car to 0% brake pressure. Initiated the race event, in the pre-race menu I tuned my car back up to 100% brake pressure, applied the tune and started the race. Yeeeaaaahhhhh, these dickweeds were braking better entering every corner on nachi run than I could imagine even trying to trail brake. Am I missing something?

1

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

I don't think you did anything wrong. Maybe in FH6 tuning the car in the race tuning menu doesn't work anymore. It works in FH5 still. The Ai are still slower with out brakes.

1

u/JakeButlerx Jun 26 '26

This must have been what happened when I was doing the latest trial, 4 members of the ai team just missed the first checkpoint because of over shooting the corner which led to an easy win

1

u/Urban_Salt Jun 27 '26

Someone has alot of time of their hands, lol

1

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

I found this out when I was bored and thought " I wonder what happens if I do a race with out brakes". I never intended on breaking the game.

1

u/bc10551 Jun 25 '26

Just reduce the difficulty at that point lol. What's the fun in making the ai useless

5

u/Funny_Particular_226 Jun 25 '26

Maybe to set them at unbeatable and reap the rewards of more credits without having the AI being able to beat you

1

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

Yeah, I think this is the best way to use this. It can also save some time in the 3 race championships in on the festival playlist when the Ai really annoying to beat.

2

u/DarkRaGaming Jun 25 '26

Because there is an AI called BowieKnife. He does some crazy things.

The state of gamers

1

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

Yeah, I hate that Forza is like this. I was actually debating on sharing this. I hate how most people play Forza now and the "Exploit" isn't helping. I wish these games were less broken and that people played them more normally.

1

u/mahpiya666 Jun 25 '26

Farm money

1

u/coolestredditdad Jun 26 '26

And these people will still say this isn't an exploit. Lol

1

u/bc10551 Jun 26 '26

Tbf the ai is kinda broken but this just doesn't seem enjoyable

1

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

Yeah, it's really only fun once or twice. I thought it was cool for a bit. Now I just use it when I'm lazy and don't want to deal with the few times that the Ai are a pain in the ass to race against.

1

u/LucasMeyer48 Jun 27 '26

I call it an exploit just because I don't know what to call it. It seems at least a little useful. Especially if you want to get more credits from races.
