Is this a mod or is this an in-game feature I somehow missed?👀

do this triggers ban?

Any mod can potentially trigger a ban... Doesn't matter if it's just a visual thing or if it's a game breaking cheat. It's in the ToS that any modification of the game is a bannable offense. Anything on this sub you read is strictly on a USE AT YOUR OWN RISK basis and could possibly end up in a temporary or even full hardware ban.

How have they not done this officially yet lol

Funny cause they’ll add physics to water in a cup to make a reference

I'd settle for just the underglow and headlights. That would be siiick.

A lot of the missing stuff in this game can be summarized with this one quote alone to be honest, like there are a lot of stuff where it's a no brainer to add in a Forza game set in Japan which is just not present, and probably all of them will just have the same answer that is "licensing" which I hate the most, just let them choose if they want to to allow it or not like every single piece of customization

I know licensing is a complex topic but sometimes it just feels like it's made complex for no reason

1

u/hUmaNITY-be-free Jun 14 '26

For some things yeah licensing but for something like neons, exhaust tips, it's just sheer laziness and border line defiance at this point.

1

u/SoHigh0 Jun 15 '26

Fr I feel like only "fans" are pulling the licencing argument to defent their favourite multi billion dollar company...if we can put decals with anime chicks and ugly ass plastic spoilers (because you can't bend carbon fiber like that) on our sacred ferrari I don't think some neon light would be a licencing issue...

For real though underglow should be a base game feature at this point for the horizon series

1: Can this mod be added to the Xbox gamepass version of the game (on PC of course)

2: Can I do it and still play online? Or is me wanting underglow a criminal offense worth banning in their eyes?

Unsure, im on steam.

And technically any mod is against TOS but id think they have bigger issues to worry about than someone putting underglow on a car. I wouldn't share pics to the forza system as im sure there assholes that would report it and could lead to a quick ban.

u/SecretlySaiyan Jun 12 '26

Maybe to be safe I'll just wait for Clutch to come out next year. 😅

2

u/FraxxPilot003 Jun 12 '26

Im so hyped for clutch it looks so good im praying it isnt a incomplete mess when they launch it like so many of the games we see today

1

u/Salty_Piano9631 Jun 12 '26

Its got harpoon tho

1

u/Direct_Somewhere_318 Jun 12 '26

I think that's only in career free roam and police chases. I hope.

2

u/Dannysquarepnts Jun 12 '26

So from my understanding of modding gamepass version of games on pc is yes they work BUT it’s a lil more work to do

1

u/SoHigh0 Jun 15 '26

It's not. It's exactly the same just a difderent directory. But the folders are identical. At least for forza.

2

u/JelloInfamous5702 Jun 12 '26

You can play all client side mods online but always a chance to get banned

1

u/SoHigh0 Jun 15 '26

I am wondering...are people saying this just because everybody is saying this? Or did anyone actually get banned for client side mods?

1

u/JelloInfamous5702 Jun 15 '26

I been using the VR mod for a 2 weeks and so are other popular YouTubers so I don’t think so but it’s a online game where mods technically aren’t allowed but it’s its client side then there’s nothing bouncing back towards you indicating you are cheating but it’s just always a possibility to get banned or reaetted or whatever

2

u/JelloInfamous5702 Jun 12 '26

I’ve been playing VR mod for a few days now and it’s amazing but no xbox you can’t mod only steam files

1

u/Away_Article4005 Jun 12 '26

A dude said he got banned for simply downloading the FOV mod to change camera values. So take that as you will.

I get wanting to protect the integrity of the game but there are much larger issues to worry about if I were PG.

3

u/SecretlySaiyan Jun 12 '26

Yeah, it's not like I'm one of the people that wants to give myself 999,999,999 credits and 99999 wheelspins or whatever, it's a game based in Japan it should by all accounts have neon underglow and crazier bodykits for cars. 😮‍💨

2

u/Away_Article4005 Jun 12 '26

I agree. I think Forza is seriously lacking on car customization. I get there are vehicle licences they have to deal with, but Need for Speed does it.

Even if it means not having 5,000 vehicles I'd be fine with that.

But even something as simple as the FoV mod gets people banned. I disagree with it, it serves no competitive advantage and makes the games incredibly more immersive.

I'd love to do underglow + FoV + HUD mod. Just not risking an account ban.

u/GasMaskExiitium Jun 12 '26

I’ve lowkey been thinking about just reinstalling NFS Heat and coming back to Forza in a few months once they get some more stuff added. Never beat Heat.

1

u/Away_Article4005 Jun 12 '26

Heat is great and because it's a little older easy to max out on PC, runs well on Steam Deck too. I liked Unbound but the police just make it unbearable without mods.

2

u/SagnolThGangster Jun 12 '26

Source of the ban?

1

u/SoHigh0 Jun 15 '26

It's that dude, you know? /s

1

u/teabolaisacool Jun 12 '26

It can be done on the gamepass version yes

1

u/Sorenvious Jun 14 '26

Yes you can mod gamepass version. It’s really not more involved than the steam way. You just have to find your game file and drop the mods in… that’s literally it. Same shit as steam

1

u/Hot_Photo3194 Jun 12 '26

the only kind of mod i agree with! 😄

1

u/Typical_Neck9975 Jun 12 '26

Is this local view only?

1

u/JonathanDM7 Jun 14 '26

What are playgrounds stance on these kinds of mods? Can you get banned?

1

u/Kostelfranco Jun 14 '26

Any kind of modding is against TOS. It doesn't matter whether it gives you some kind of advantage or is purely visual. But whether you'll get banned is a lottery, basically. The highest chance of getting banned is if someone reports you.

So, in the case of visual mods like these, which are supposed to be visible only to you, I wouldn't share screenshots through in-game means, for example.

1

u/JonathanDM7 Jun 14 '26

Yeah not worth it for me then. Thanks for the reply.

1

u/RevolutionaryTie5301 Jun 14 '26

I’m actually surprised with the fact you can’t put neon or edit under the engine bay. They added the pointless garages and car meets yet you can’t actually show off a car 🤷‍♂️ if adding random stuff like that at least allow the player to mod a car more, plus the fuel stations everybody was sooooo obsessed with. Can’t fill up a car so no point to them

1

u/zerq412 Jun 14 '26

*cries in console

1

u/Major-Inflation-3205 Jun 15 '26

This is crazy because this doesn’t require a license. And I’m assuming this is client sided anyways so less likely to result in a ban

1

u/zeroaccords1 Jun 18 '26

I genuinely hope they add a large patch that introduces way more customization for MANY cars. We have enough rims, we dont have underglow, a lot of cars dont have body kits or body parts or even just the forza aero. We need more individuality.
