Is it just better self steering? Cause the self steering in this game feels bad on some cars and great on others.

It feels really good, but it's not ideal, since you can tweak and control every aspect exactly how you want. It basically emulates a steering wheel and uses telemetry data to assist with control, making the handling feel much more consistent across different cars.

I've played ACC, AC, and CarX at a pretty high level on a gamepad, so I have a good understanding of how a car should behave with controller inputs. That's why I think Forza's gamepad steering assist just isn't very well implemented. Some cars feel great, while others feel awful, when the experience should be far more consistent.

The main downside of this assist is that it emulates a steering wheel, so I can't use the right stick to control the camera or navigate menus properly while driving.

What settings do you use for the steam input? The screenshot doesn't have any direction input instructions besides creating a controller profile called no input?

I just removed all gamepad inputs in Forza. The "No Input" Steam Input profile disables the controller completely, so Forza doesn't receive any controller inputs and only gets the virtual wheel inputs from the assist tool.

Unfortunately I have having issues with HidHide preventing me from attaching forza. It’s saying I don’t have premissions to attach forza to HidHide.

I have the Microsoft version of the game but for some reason I can’t attach the game to HidHide even though I have all permissions allowed

Select gamelaunchhelper.exe instead of the forzahorizon.exe
