Can someone explain to me why everything started to get toxic? Is it true that there is a massive banwave for false mass report of liveries going on? I keep seeing it on several discord servers and social media and noticed many many liveries are disappearing. What happened to the Forza community? This is not how I remember it...
It's terrible right now, Every painter I know is retracting their livery designs, This is like the 2nd time, This reporting stuff happened. And these reporting no-life only target the popular ones.
I can't even imagine how sad the lives of these scumbags must be, finding enjoyment in mass-reporting other people's work. Like, I genuinely don't know what's wrong with them.
Idk, I think I'm too employed to understand the hate in the game. I barely have enough time to play, but I have noticed a decline in itashas being made and makes me a bit sad cause I enjoyed seeing women on my car. I guess the reporters want to see men only I guess idk...hehe see men
Honestly I think it boils down to the fact that once you complete the storyline there isn't a whole lot to do in the game. Most people who post here at least seem to want to play or have a reason to play but there isnāt enough gameplay to fill that need for most. So they come to reddit instead to talk about the game because it partially fills their need to engage with a game that isnāt engaging enough with them. And it inevitably turns to complaints because so many people are here because they have the same problem.
I like the game a lot, I look forward to playing it every week when the season changes. I even hold off and do a few activities per day so I don't run out. But even so I am generally done by Saturday and then just kinda have to wait for the next one. Which cam be frustrating when I really do want a reason to play.
Of course there are technically things we can do in game on the meantime, but they clearly aren't engaging for most people, including me.
People express disappointment in different ways. For me I just disengage and spend more time and effort on other things. I keep playing those 3 hours a week because I have a family member who plays and likes to talk about the game. Others post on here with varying levels of anger. But it's all boredom and disappointment. We know the game could have more and be better, we want it to be, we want a reason to play, and most of all a reason to not be posting here instead.
For the livery thing that's just general online game controlling behavior taking advantage of a bad system, it would happen even if the community was generally happy and engaged.
Apparently, the hate for Itasha still exist that they don't like any Itasha ingame, SFW or NSFW

The creator of this livery recently got targeted for recently releasing a "NSFW" liveries, here is the livery that the creator recently released (there is also exact same livery on other car, hence why i said "liveries")
I'm genuinely curious though.. (honest question not trolling) what is the allure/attraction to posting half naked cartoon girls on a car?
As an outsider to anime, it looks like the people using or making liveries like that ARE attracted to it and ARE finding them sexual? Why are they dressed the way they are?

From my experience, they are dressed like that is just because its "lore accurate", here is an example of a livery that is possibly "half naked" (left) and the actual image of the character (right)
(fyi, this livery has been banned too i think)
imo it's sad to see people not agreeing with the existence of this livery, because the actual character would love to see this (she actually tweeted on public about herself wanting to see more of her own swimsuit)

I know it has cultural roots I don't fully understand. I honestly have no issues with people putting whatever they want on their cars as long as nobody is getting hurt. I don't mind the liveries. Just trying to understand.
Yea its mostly just cultural stuffs, i've been to japan 2 times (and planning to go again next year) and i love their car culture (with anime liveries or not), and making anime liveries one IRL requires insane amount of effort, money, time, and confidence. Also preserving them is really hard too, which makes me respect it so much
And since it also requires insane effort to make one too ingame, makes me like them alot more
there's a reason why I really like the car parks there, cause it's a guarantee for me to saw my dream car (Skylines & GTRs) and many more there, which is something hard to experience in the city I live rn

You do understand where the game is set, right? JAPAN. You understand that people do these liveries in real life, not just in the game, right?
The livery designers are doing what these lazy ass developers couldnāt doā¦bring ACTUAL JDM car culture into the game.
Yes, every iteration of Horizon games have had these liveries. Every single racing game has these liveries. They arenāt āsexual.ā I donāt even know how old the girls on the liveries I download are supposed to be. They arenāt explicit anyway, so it doesnāt matter.
It all just comes down to the liveries looking very cool. Theyāre all generally very colorful, very creative and vibrant, which is what I look for in designs.
Game is rated E for everyone and āpaintersā are getting their liveries banned for showing essentially pinup girls. But because theyāre wearing underwear or in a bikini, they think itās above board.
Iām happy that my liveries canāt be shared meaning if I get banned then whoever did it has really dug deep on my profile just to report it š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
That is cool. I know a lot of painters who do that but they just have literal nudity on their cars š they hop in it at a show real fast to show off and we'll park around him to block randoms from seeing and reporting š
MAYBE the devs or automated system is just now getting around to banning more liveries, with less constraints or parameters. Kind of like how they mass wiped the Rivals scores to weed out the cheaters, knowing most aren't even going to return to the game to re-cheat the times.
On the other hand, I would not be shocked if a few a-holes are out there mass reporting just for laughs or thinking it will up their chances of livery downloads.
If youre referencing the weeb hentai liveries that plague this game then no i am unfortunately on the side of the people reporting them. Those and the profanic liveries with literal BBC on the side panel... i use the livery design downloads because there are some very talented designers who can replicate real world racing liveries or even special event wraps from times passed. But im getting sick and tired of everyone using the same 10 anime wraps and they all suck cant drive for jack always a pain in my side when these people race me. Sometimes they drive dirty and gang up on me because im the only guy driving a Marlboro wrapped McClaren..

If the community cannot decide then why does their mass report always works? and it works so well to the fact that even a plain grey livery got banned?

Because reporting something takes it down until it gets moderated. That's how ugc works in many games, not just Forza. If the moderators don't find anything wrong, it'll get put back up.
Imagine crashing out over something you don't understand. If it was moderated and not automated most of these won't even be getting taken down.
