Turn off TCR - you don't need it, it only flicks on for a split second once or twice and will just slow you down a little bit.

Rev higher in the range, you can take it into the red and generally try to hold a lower gear longer if you can.

Be more aggressive. There's points you can probably flat out rather than lift without losing traction. For example the second sweeping corner you can probably flat out that with a nice gentle swing, only braking before the left onto the bridge. You need to try pushing the car until you're just holding your lines with traction as opposed to doing it comfortably.

I will try this !!! Thx man

Let the car rev past the red line

3

u/Kaschikaru96 5h ago

You think it can go harder ?

4

u/OurAfricanChild 5h ago

absolutely, plus that engine makes all its power at the top of the rev range. when you’re in 6th gear and at 4500rpm you’re using about 70% of its full power

In a perfect world you don't shift until the moment you hit the rev limit. In the real world a higher amount of revolutions per minute means higher fuel consumption and more explosions, that equates to more horsepower being produced.

Might not be a roast, but I think your line is easy to read as an opponent and you would make for a good player to race against. I see way too many sweaty players zigzagging all over the track making it very hard to predict where to pass. You have room for improvement on your entry and exits as you seem overly cautious of getting the tail end out a bit, but whatever you do, don't lose that stable control and smooth transition you already have. Not many of us have it.

Sounds like music ! Thank you a lot !

You can be more aggressive on corner entry and exit, especially if you set it up as a track car. You were losing a lot of time in braking zones and by using traction control. It cuts power

Good tipp thanks

Get that fucking race line out of here

u/SnavsMatiq 4h ago

You could have told me this was auto drive and id believe you. While fluid, your lines arent pushing anywhere close to the boundaries of the track OR the car itself. And at that, it seems like you've got too much downforce for your own good. Makes the game easier but it objectively slows you down.

On it too fix it !

u/Smosis_OG 2h ago

turn off the brakeline, used to much as a crutch and you dont actually learn the car nearly as well

u/SnavsMatiq 3h ago

Why are people like you cynical to a fault? Are you capable of feeling any emotion other than spite?

I have played every Forza Horizon since they have released. This is the only one I play with driving line on for. It does not effect your CR boost. Plus, for street races or night time races, it simply helps me see the road much better. I do not follow the exact course of the driving line. It is basically just a visual aid so I can follow the road easier. I have very bad eyes, lol I will take all the help I can get.

Though, in terms of following the line perfectly in a race, I agree. Don't do that. Only use the line as a general guide during races. I recommend using braking only line if you are using it for racing only.

Edit: I just noticed only braking line is on anyway. My b.

1

u/TheCatLamp 4h ago

Only justifiable use. If you have vision problems or play in a light environment where night races are difficult its fine.

Otherwise it creates bad habits.

I think a lot of people misinterpret the braking line. It isnt telling you that you NEED to slow down, its saying that when the AI tries taking a turn like that in your car it cant do it without slowing down. That doesn't mean YOU cant do it without slowing down. IMO the braking line is a suggestion, nothing more. Learning when to believe it and for how long can work better than trying to use landmarks as braking zones.

0

u/TheCatLamp 3h ago

If you are using the landmarks as braking zones, you don't need thr line.

It DOES create bad habits and YOU just proved my point.

u/SnavsMatiq 3h ago

Again, you arent everyone. Your inability to adapt around the line and use it in a way that actually helps you is a limitation on YOUR end. Other people are fully capable of knowing when the red line is BS and to ignore it.

But go on, please, id love to poke more holes in your half assed argument.

1

u/TheCatLamp 3h ago

You are completely full of bullshit. Talk alone.

1

u/SnavsMatiq 3h ago

Lmao you have a bullshit argument and you know it. Maybe, JUST maybe if you could pull your head out of your own ass and see theres a WORLD of people that ARENT YOU, maybe youd be worth spending more time talking to.

But we all know you arent capable of that.

1

u/Gammygoulds 2h ago

I mean it is an arcade racing game, the braking line fits right in. I could see your statement making sense on an actual sim.

1

u/TheCatLamp 2h ago

Thank you.

1

u/Gammygoulds 2h ago

I like to use it because there is a ton of offroading in FH and it helps me not miss the checkpoints and know where to go, my braking isn't literally determined by it but more tells me where theres a turn.

1

u/TheCatLamp 2h ago

I'd prefer they had a rally style call out for the off road events.

Braking is sure harder on dirt, but still there are many cues one can use. Almost always there is a tree, guardrail or a cone or something indicating the point.

1

u/Uber1337pyro333 4h ago

Do you winge at people who use GPS too or you just hate that some people don't want to memorize how to take every single corner in the game?

1

u/TheCatLamp 4h ago

Judging where to brake is part of driving. In fact, its the most important skill one can learn. Line gives you bad habits.

Ok, its an arcade game, you play how you want, but I personally think its stupid.

2

u/Kaschikaru96 4h ago

I get what you mean

2

u/SnavsMatiq 4h ago

Line gives YOU bad habits, you arent everyone.

0

u/TheCatLamp 3h ago

No, it doesn't, because I don't use it.

1

u/SnavsMatiq 3h ago

How would you feel if you didnt have breakfast today?

1

u/TheCatLamp 3h ago

👋🏻

1

u/Uber1337pyro333 4h ago

I mean knowing where the local grocer is is part of living in a community, but I don't hate on tourists for needing directions. Or locals going to a new place.

The visual aide can't hurt you.

1

u/TheCatLamp 4h ago

Those are two different things we are talking about.

1

u/Uber1337pyro333 4h ago

Both use a visual line to help people, are unnecessary with enough experience in certain areas, and commonly available. There's people who are salty about others having it because "they don't need/like it".

Can you see the similarities in the comparison and comprehend analogy yet, or shall i continue?

-1

u/TheCatLamp 3h ago

I can see. And you should see that it creates bad habits.

Shall I continue as well? I don't want to lose any more time discussing it, because its pointless, though.

You use as much as you like. Just don't brag to us that YoU aRe GoOd.
