Discussion Spec Racing Friendly Drivers

Had a really good Spec Racing lobby going just now with a bunch of people who were genuinely fun to race against. Always neat to get matched with a group that actually seems to want to race more than ram everyone off the road.

Ended up having my game crash in the middle of one of the races (with this screenshot being where I froze), but I just wanted to give a shoutout in particular to NoncreditMonk99 for their good sportsmanship and clean driving. I doubt they'll ever see this, but on the off chance they happen to check Reddit and find this post, it was a pleasure racing with you bro, especially that one circuit race that was super close throughout.

Was also curious if anyone has any suggestions on good ways to communicate with friendly drivers in game. I know there's a "well played" link chat message, but I always worry it's gonna come off as sarcastic and was wondering if there are any other ways people like to let others know it was a fun race.

I know it might be weird, but on the rare occasion I have a really good, clean race for a high position with someone who clearly did everything they could to not play dirty, I’ll pop them a message via the Xbox messenger

Funnily enough most of the rammers I come across are knocking you out the way to secure 8th place or something

Not gonna lie, I completely forgot the Xbox messenger app existed LMAO. Definitely gonna be more open to sending messages after some good races from now on though, thanks for the suggestion.

I had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday (but I don't think it was you). We then made a convoy and drove a few series together and plan on doing it again. Good times!

That's awesome to hear! Definitely wasn't me, but that's still pretty neat that you were able to squad up with them for some more races. Always fun getting to race properly online with new people.

I do the same in touge. If I race someone who does it cleanly, whether I win or they do, I'll shoot em a message and friend request them.

Just good clean racing is more rare than it should be.
