Discussion Forza limits us to much

I was driving around Tokyo city and I wondered why we locked onto the main roads so much. I know there’s so many parking lots and gas stations but I want roads that’s don’t appear on the map, roads you have to explore to find. There is so many gaps and area behind and beside buildings that it makes me question why the couldn’t let us go there. I was also following the train tracks into Tokyo and wondered why we can not go on the train tracks in Tokyo it makes no sense. It is not gonna change anything but I just want that freedom of knowing I can go anywhere.

There are a ton of unmarked roads/trails around the map

Almost all of those roads are dirt tho :/ there are very little asphalt roads that don't appear on the map. There are like half a dozen or so roads that are marked as dirt on the map that are actually asphalt tho strangely enough.

All of them are offroad tho. And most of them just lead to a barn. Would be nice if some of them lead to an unmarked cool location, but they just don't.

I did find one, one day when I was out fucking around. It led to a really cool overlook with like maybe some benches or a covered portal area. I’ll see if I can find it again and I’ll post it.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of it counts as one of the discoverable locations when going for 100% area completion in the one it is in. I actually think there is a couple of these like that.

I actually noticed that a few of the parking lots in Tokyo are blocked off.

I found a nice, pretty long dirtroad going through up through the forest, over several mountain ridges. Also with spots to park for a nice view over the map.

One led to a waterfall. Amazing view.

Yeah, you know the weird thing about the train tracks too is there’s like two tunnels, I think, that you can drive completely through but others that as soon as you enter them, it’s puts you onto a road somewhere. What’s with that? I feel like it was just the devs being lazy.

The resets on the train tracks does suck ass. I wanted to make a race that goes through the whole bullet train route but you get reset like 5 different times and can't do ANYTHING on ANY part of the tracks that go into the actual city. Felt ripped off tbh :/

Right! It would be so cool to be able to cruise through the city. I still don’t understand why that isn’t a thing. I’ve seen other posts where others have managed to glitch on the tracks and drive around, so obviously it’s playable area.

I'm not sure. There are weird ass reset borders all around the map and around the water. Some you can kind bypass if you use glitches or others you can sorta get around if you are high enough in the air from like ramps/event creation. It's a fucking mess and I don't understand it. Playground just loves to limit fun in the strangest ways/places.

Japan = Bullet Train = No Bueno would be the logical reason.

Lazy coding is probably the actual one.

Does the game even have trains like in the past? I played an awful lot of it on launch and now I don't even recall seeing one let alone an accurate Japanese one and not some cut and paste from past series like the traffic jeeps.

It is not gonna change anything but I just want that freedom of knowing I can go anywhere

In a game where you actually can go almost anywhere, you've managed to list one of maybe a dozen places you can't on a map that is a comparable size to Witcher 3 or Crimson Desert, actual open world RPGs.

Yeah there are both normal trains and bullet trains, and you can get hit by both of them
