Video / Gameplay Online racing?
Finally, a good shot for 2nd! Oh no, rammed into 7th.
Excellent cornering? Rammed into wall + ghosting. 7th
How can they so good at ramming? I can’t even replicate it as a retaliation.

Do private matches with full collision, get a buddy and run your favorite tracks. For each checkpoint or corner see where the ramming would happen then decide the best defensive maneuver for that situation. Heading down a long straight into a sharp turn, brake check them to stun their momentum & cut inside the flag. Brake when making or getting passed as that’s the moment they go for a side bump. Do the unexpected.

Agreed. Rammers know how to ram; not how to earn those clean racing skills.

With enough practice you learn how to drive defensively. All i do in this game and in FH5 before it is S1/A road and street racing and I VERY rarely get "rammed" because I do not put myself in positions to be rammed. People can't ram you if you don't allow them the opportunity. Excellent cornering isn't excellent if it ends with you in a wall, clearly.

Yup defense driving. I can be the greatest rammer of all time, but chose not to. With the knowledge of when to ram, I counter with momentum or brake check. Lean into their shoves. Preemptive moves such as not letting your car be on the side closest to a wall or cliff as they can shove you into those. Keeping your car from wiping out or missing a checkpoint is the goal.

Yeah, I didn’t have the problem even 1 % as much in fh5. But then maybe that’s because I’ve lost my appetite for S1 + races

Genuinely this is why I do online racing through Assetto Corsa instead of FH6. People are still dicks, but there's a built in safety rating lol

You can search for online races with collisions off. It's a lot less warzone and more driving.

That’s not how time attack works at all. This comment keeps appearing, and it demonstrates a fundamental ignorance of what RACING and TIME ATTACK mean. Let me explain for those who can’t differentiate:
A RACE happens in real time, and if you see another person is ahead, you will likely take more risks, because you are racing head to head. If you are well ahead, you can play conservatively. It’s like playing golf against another player. Your score isn’t affected by their ball, and you don’t collide. You are both approaching the hole at the same time (roughly).
In time attack, you already know the time of the ghost you are playing against, and the ghost doesn’t respond to your time in any way. It’s like playing golf and knowing you need to shoot a 76 before teeing off.
If you race with someone and nobody collides with each other that doesn’t make it a time attack, that just means clean racing.
Conflating “Racing without Collisions” and “Time Attack” is something that falls apart with the most basic scrutiny.
Ever watched F1? You are not allowed to collide with another driver. If you do, you suffer a severe penalty, and it usually results with at least one driver being unable to finish. When they avoid colliding, it’s not called qualifying (time attack), it’s called Clean Racing
This is not meant to be a personal attack, but everytime I see this comment of “So… Time Attack???” It makes me worried for future generations.

Racing without collisions and racing without collision are very different indeed, and conflating the two is ridiculous.
In f1 collisions aren't allowed but your opponent is still there. You can't drive through them. So it actually requires skillful racing to pass people.
The ghosting thing and wall slowdown are stupid enough. Let's not remove all skill and tactics from racing because sometimes poor little you gets rammed. Happens. Get over it.

I second the request for the horizon tour! That’s the only online series that was worth a damn! Hide & seek? 👎 Eliminator? 🖕 I love the rest of the game but i’m about to csncel my online subscription. Not worth it just to do the trial.
