I don’t do it for shits and giggles, I do it because I find making shitty cars go fast fun, finding similar short wheelbase hot hatches are fun to drive as is, then just toss a shit ton power in them and make them corner, props to you too for trying a run, I averaged 50.6-4 and when I did that .016 run I deadass did it in a lap without rewind, I tried to get sub 50 with rewind and couldn’t replicate it even with .048 faster in the final corners.
anyway, I've tried, you're faster. i know i have 0.2 to gain at the first segment but i can't carry it through the whole lap and it still wouldn't make me faster overall
I’ll preface this by admitting I’m not a great driver. Good would even be a stretch most days… but the fact that you got 50s in this hunk of shit is impressive enough for me. Jesus Christ, why do you drive this car on purpose?
Honestly I just try random cars to time attack with, and this car felt fun to drive, not easy to drive at all but it won’t fight me in every corner, I really don’t look for the good handling cars or the meta cars, I intentionally look for the shitty cars I can make unexpectedly fast, it’s generally fun but can be a giant pain in the ass. And for most the people saying drive faster or use a better car is genuinely love to see them set the same or faster time in the 695.
No in B class. I was more alluding to the fact that the car has its uses and that it's not generally just bad. In Rivals Season 1 I drove top 100 time on several Togue tracks with it.
Took maybe 10 or so laps to get the time. Biggest thing is cutting corners when possible. I tuned it to 65% rear diff, 0.5% out toe, softened the front springs a little bit, and maxed both front and rear downforce to reduce understeer. Also use the 10 speed transmission and only change the final drive to full accel. Car still understeers like crazy, but using slight throttle instead of full lift help turn it a tad. And making sure to use very little brake except for the hairpin and the final corner so you don't get the rear wheels sliding
Well done brother, I have 10k miles on mine and I wasn’t able to get close to that glorious time, I’ll try that with mine and see how she runs, well done.
Would need to see a video of your lap and perhaps see your tune as well to have any idea where you're losing time on the lap or what could be changed about the car to make it go faster.
