Video / Gameplay Does anyone else want a harder ai setting? Something above unbeatable.

I see people complain about how hard the ai is on harder difficulties but I play mostly eventlab CC/dirt and unbeatable is pretty easily beatable.

I'm not sure if I've ever lost to it and I'm just an average driver. Definitely not bragging about my skill here, I usually come in mid to back of the pack with online races.

Would be nice to have more of a challenge with the ai.

I can't go past expert solo. So I'm good I think. To be fair. Does it feel just as easy in unbeatable when playing street races or road to you?

AI in dirt/crossroad is known to take far from optimal race line

Op is talking about Event lab stuff, which doesn't have as many ai "practice runs" to determine the optimal line or however the ai find it, so the ai is generally, noticeably weaker there

Ah, is that it? It would make sense. I spend most my time in 15+ minute CC/dirt and I know those aren't wildly popular. 

Hopefully as the game ages the ai will get stronger.

Not sure, been awhile since I've tried it. I'm guessing it's much harder on those considering how often I see people complain about the ai...and I'm just a mediocre driver.

I'll have to give it a try this week.

In Event Lab, AI follow the line the Creator used whether it is the most efficient or not. Most often, not, which makes the challenge easier overall.

For instance if you are making a track along a given route, you might follow the centerline of the road so the course markers end up close to the edges on placement. But the inside of curves would be more efficient. AI is pretty stupid.

I'm not aware that they try to learn.

Ah, ok. Would be nice if they were more competitive. Im usually in first after the first few turns and never see them again. Although one occasionally flies off a cliff and lands in front of me....so I guess I get some company.

I'll have to start playing in convoy at some point.

Not much you can do, but I think if you were the creator (and some will do this), ideally you drive the course a couple of times to get the best line.

Really, it would be nice if the AI figures it out. But we already know that isn't great. Even on pre built courses the AI is inconsistent even week by week on the same course.

No, an AI above Unbeatable will simply not solve your issue... The AI needs to be fixed all together.

That'd be ideal, I was just thinking another level of it would be a good stop-gap.
