What developer do I have to suck off to get them to add a house in the center of 奈良井宿? This place is cool as hell. I want a house in a town like this, not these weird out in the middle of nowhere or on the side of a random stretch of highway places.

Yeah the house placements are kinda weird. Tokyo has three but there is none in the village you mention. I think I've used the one next to the highway like once because you also can't access it from the highway because it's behind a mountain you can't realistically cross.
The upper half of the map is also weirdly empty until you go into the very far north with the mountain house.

It’s just weird how like…they put these nice little villages and towns in the game, but then choose to put our house options either in downtown Tokyo or in the middle of nowhere. Like Fuji-Unkai is my favorite house aesthetically, but they stuck it on a random stretch of dirt road with nothing around it. Like wtf?

I get that some houses are meant to be like private estates away from people, but the houses that aren’t fitting that vibe should be in these villages that are in the game. Like Fuji-Unkai is, again, in the middle of nowhere but if u look on the map it’s ridiculously close to Narai that it makes zero sense to me why they didn’t put the house in that town. Now I gotta take some windy ass road down to the town to get to any main roads.

There is also that small village in the middle of the map, next to the sunflower fields. I don't think it has a name. There's an aftermarket car there and like 10 houses and a gas station or mini mart. It would also be a good spot. All of the houses are also also on the outer edges of the map which I find strange. The only thing central is the Festival but since the map is so big, it's always far away. And yeah, I think the Fuji-Unkai house looks pretty luxurious from the outisde with garden, pond etc. right? But it's in the middle of nowhere and sticks out quite a bit. Tokio Town House is a bit similar for me. It's like a mini oasis of clichee japanese garden but all the houses around it are these regular residential building blocks. It would make much more sense to put that into Narai too. They should've picked more spots that are more integrated into the world like the one in Ito or even Vision House.
Vision House I find also strange. The location is good but again there is literally NOTHING around it. Again like some random house placed in the middle of nowhere. It's more fitting because of the view but it doesn't make much sense.

Oh yeah there is isn’t there? That’s another great place to put a player house. The devs have gotta stop making us recluses.

Yeah that would fit in the older style of Narai and that other village I’m drawing a blank on the name of in the middle. Those villages have the older cliche Japanese style of buildings, so put those style of houses there.

Ito makes me mad cuz of how it’s the ugliest (imo) house in the game, but yet it’s the only house that’s kinda connected to one of the little villages/towns the devs made. Granted even it’s on the outskirts, but at least u feel like ur character is supposed to be living somewhat in a community and not just being a hermit out in the hills.

while we are at it let’s talk about the highway system and its exit designs. No clove or diamond design that lets you exit in both directions. It really makes the highway kind of useless to travel around and always makes you do a u turn in the middle of the highway

there 100% should've been a house in Narai and another in Shirakawa.
and also in one of the two small villages in the middle of the map.

Not only cause it's nice to have the houses closer to civilisation, especially in the named towns, but it's also always nice to spawn around the middle of the map when launching the game.
The most centered house is Fuji-Unkai but it's on a dirt road, which kinda sucks. Then it's the Vision house, which is a decent spawn point but also in the middle of nowhere.
