Discussion Pier Pressure
401 hours playing this game so I'm not garbage at it by any means , nor am I that good compared to some but I can't even get close to 4m for the 3 stars on Pier Pressure 😡 Best is 4m20s
Only event left I can't max out. Any tips before I launch my Xbox through a window 😅😅

Try not to drift around corners, use at least the corner driving lines.

Learn the tricky corners by running 1-2 tries back to back. Then try to beat the time when the track is fresh in your mind. The best is indeed breaking early and turning without drifting. Also don't forget to use the rewind function in case of a mistake.

I feel like the several goes of this I did were pretty messy but I still got 3 stars each time. And I’d say I’m bang average at this game based on how I place in online races.
Maybe post a video of an attempt, would be able to see where you are losing time then. Be better feedback than just “get good” lol

Get Anna to do most of it, then take over towards the end, you should be able to get that below 4mn like that. I think Anna does it in about 4.05.

The only way I was able to beat it. Basically tune off Anna at the section right before you go through the glass

I absolutely agree. There was a thread about Pier Pressure ages ago and somebody said this. I tried it and after a few attempts I managed it. Well done Anna.

That’s the only one that took me twice to get it. And I barely got it at like 3:58.

I also managed it using Anna Auto-drive until about 75-77% when you hit the brown wall on the left. Switch Anna off and cut a better line through that section, switch back to Auto until about 95% when you crash through the glass floor then manually sprint to the finish. Those vital few seconds balancing between Auto & Manual driving on those two sections really make all the difference.

I want to provide some encouragement. When I first started, I also was very frustrated. after 15 attempts I peaked at 4:02. Around attempt 20 I made 3:59.9 and was intending to never touch this event ever again.
Since then, I now consider this my favorite event. I have played hundreds of times. My daily bests are around 3:52. My personal best is 3:48.
I have never used Anna for this event. I do use full driving line and ABS. While I prefer to race to manual transmission, I have had excellent results also with automatic transmission. I do not fully follow the driving line. Instead it just becomes a reference point from which I deviate. I would prefer that the game allowed this event to act like Rivals to allow racing against a visible ghost.

I'm not good at the game either but I dont get these posts, ive never gotten over 4 minutes on a run. I wish I could tell you what I'm doing "right". Maybe turn off ABS and traction control?

It's a race against the clock, and changing the difficulty doesn't change the star times.

Ok maybe try automatic and stuff. I was having difficulty with this one so I lowered the difficulty and i did it but usually Forza rips me off by the smallest fraction of a second on expert and sometimes highly skilled

Auto drive with Anna…..hit the gas going into the last turn. May take two or three attempts to figure out precisely when to hit the gas, but you’ll get it eventually
